I hope Brett not only plays for the Vikings but that he kicks the Packer's A$$. It would serve them right for treating one of their own legends like they did. No class at all from the Packers. Don't want him anymore? FINE! At least let the man play where he will. That was some dirty, no class BS from the Packers.

These clueless "Packer Fans" aka Favre fans have no idea what they're talking about. packersfan2701 is a perfect example, all they know how to do is blame the organization. Favre gave his tearjerker farewell speech and said he was done. The organization moved on and got Rodgers ready to start. Favre then changes his mind AGAIN and wants to come back. I don't know many places that employers allow an employee to quit/retire then come back to their old job. Why should it be any different in the football world? Favre Fans Are IDIOTS!!!!!

I will give my tearjerker speach again as I retire from the Vikings after this season too.

I am happy Brett is coming to the Vikings. He is an exciting player and will fill the stands. I don’t think either of the current quarterbacks can do the job of leading us to a championship. Although the supporting cast in Minnesota is great and we might be able to win with an average QB. Anyhow, Brett is welcome here.

paydog23 wrote: Come on, all you Favre fanatics, face the facts. Your man is done. His arm will never be the same again; he's turning 40 for Pete's sake. Furthermore, you shouldn't even blame his arm for all his troubles. How many good seasons has Favre had since 2004? He has played one great season(2007): that's it. That was a fluke and might have had something to do with the development of his WR corps as well as the emergence of Ryan Grant as a dominant runner. His performance with the Jets was admirable, until the the last five weeks, where he choked down the stretch, throwing 9 picks and only 2 TDs. And that;s just the football side. Who can forget his stormy departure from the Packers. Don't blame Mike McCarthy and the Packers organization. They would have allowed Favre to start had he chosen to return. However, in his teary press conference, he lied and said that playing the game "was never about him." Then he comes back and expects to be automatically given the starting spot again. And what's he doing now? Betraying the Jets by entertaining serious thoughts of joining the Vikings? And he's not even treating the Vikes with respect. In typical Brett Favre fashion, he's postponing his decision until the last minute. The man is a fake, egotistical jerk. Betraying the Jets? What planet do you live on? The Jets released him back in April, dude! This has nothing to do with the Jets. This is a free country; if he wants to play football, let him play! Remember, we just had the 4th of July, where we all are allowed to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!! Or maybe that doesn't apply to you; you sound rather bitter and negative. Get a life!! Even Mike McCarthy said a month ago, if Favre still wants to play, then he should play!! Why don't you enjoy the fun summer it's going to be in Minnesota? And Tiger Woods is coming in August! Do you know how to enjoy life and have fun? Try it!!

ALL THE ANSWERS wrote: Favre is like the Rocky Balboa of football. As long as there is fire in the furnace, and will in the heart who says when you should stop enjoying what you love to do. I guess I look at it this way if he wins then great, if he loses then that's fine as well. One thing is for sure, you know you will get 100+% effort win or lose. Lets just give some support and hope for the best for the team. I get the idea that people who want Favre to give up, find themselves giving up on themselves time and time again. I guess misery does love company. Good Luck, and welcome to Minnesota. Go Vikes! You are so RIGHT!!! Favre will give you 100% effort, every game, something Moss never did for us. I also think you are right about people who make those comments about Favre are people who have given up on themselves, don't have the guts to get up and try again!! Favre is all right in my book; let's give him a chance and enjoy the journey! Go Vikings!! I've heard that even Chuck Foreman has offered to drive Favre to practices so he can talk to him about football and get to know him as a person! That's quite a statement!

The Packers treated him with no class last year and I'm sure Vince Lombardi is turning over in his grave?? What goes around comes around......and Teddy Thompson will get what he deserves, the public humiliation and all!! I've heard Packer shareholders want to pay Teddy boy $20,000,000 to get outa town in Green Bay!!! LOL!!!
