Full story: BellaOnline

While trying to decide last week what the topic of my next article should be, I looked around at 'newsworthy' topics in the NFL.

No, Tara. He has never apologized for those dogs.

petition overview | letter
Ban Michael Vick from the NFL-Permanently
Target:Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner
Sponsored by: Caroline Bishop
Michael Vick has openly admitted to the fighting, torture, and murder of many pitbulls on his land in Virginia. These dogs were not only fought but murdered in some of the most brutal ways-beating, drowning, hanging, and even electrocution. For the horrible crimes that Michael Vick has committed, he was sentenced to a mere 23 months in prison, and now his lawyers are announcing that he should be out of prison and in a halfway house any day now. This petition is to encourage the NFL to not reinstate Michael Vick into the NFL EVER! Professional Athletes are Role Models to our Nations youth, whether they want to be or not. Young children look up to them and emulate them. Michael Vick should never be allowed to play professional football again. Overall a good article, except for her erroneous statement that the dogkiller "agreed" to pay for the long term care and rehabilitation of the dogs that escaped his dogfighting hellhole.

He didn't agree to pay for anything relative to the care of those dogs, it was forced upon him and part of his sentencing judegment.

RESTITUTION JUDGMENT:

1.Pursuant to the agreement contained in paragraph 8 of the defendant's Plea Agreement,
MICHAEL VICK is sentenced to pay $928,073.04 as restitution for the past, present, and
long term care of all dogs which were previously the subject of the civil action known as
United States v. Approximately 53 Pit Bull Does. Case No. 3:07CV397.

In my humble opinion, NOT ENOUGH MONEY, he can
NEVER repay the damage he did to animal lovers all
over the world. And his "friends" and neighbors
will only speak for him, until he is one lonely,
poor guy.

OMFG the damage he did to animal lovers all over the world... Get the eff over it. Dogfights happen every day, in every county in every state of the United States. These animal lovers need to get real. Most people don't care whether or not he plays football, they just don't want him making the big bucks again because they're sad about their own puny lives.

Hey McMoron, murder happens in every state and every day too. Do we need to get real and get over that too? Your analogies and apologia are beyond simplistic, they are imbecilic. Look that one up so you know what it means.

Now to continue with your line of ignorance but using a different approach, you don't care about justice or having to take accountability, you simply want to watch the maggot play football and spew BS about people being jealous who express contempt and disgust for the dogkiller.

Dude, not only are you a dullard but a misguided one at that. Life must be an epic struggle for dolts like you, what a shame.

Some human beings, like Vick and some on this forum, shouldn't be replaced or allowed to breed.

Well guess what? Animal fighting and abuse are now FELONIES! Murder, rape, theft, drugs and many other crimes happen every day too. With your way of thinking we should just get over it. You and others like you can't seem to get it through your head that dogfighting and animal abuse are CRIMES and people that get caught doing it are going to jail when they get caught. So, we should just ignore crimes because they keep happening anyway? How ignorant is that?
