2 But the Jets lost, and so did the Giants. All's well with the world. The Jets lost to the only "New York" football team. The other two just pretend to be from New York. Even they are ashamed to be from New Jersey. |

I grew up in Noo Joisey.(Succasunna) I escaped many years ago. They don't PRINT enough money to make me live there again!!! Vermont is my home now. I do not miss Rte 80 in the morning, taking a half hour to go 2 miles.
I can see it now. How many would laugh at the JOISEY Giants? Or the JOISEY Jets? Nah, even though Joisey spent a gazillion dollars to build them a new stadium, the teams still would rather be associated with another state. |

grew up in south jersey the better part of new jersey, no smog, no tankers, big airports etc, etc, just fine living, ocean front homes, boating, boardwalk, casinos don't get any better.

Ahh, yes. Atlantic City. I truly believe there's a law in Noo Joisey that says if you become Mayor of AC, you automatically go to jail.
"Ocean front homes" Yeah, condos on top of condos on top of condos... No thanks. Because that means people on top of people on top of people... eccchhhhh. Crime, corruption, the highest property tax in the nation, among the highest car insurance rates in the nation. Traffic, malls on every corner, CAMDEN, need I say more? Noo Joisey is 7,000 square miles, and has 8,000,000 people. The most densly populated state in the Country with over 1,100 people per square mile.. Vermont is 9,000 square miles with 600,000 people. REAL open spaces compared to Joisey. And Joisey is cluttered with billboards too. You can't see the countryside! At least up here billboards are banned. And there are very few malls. And only 4 Wally Worlds in the whole state. So... what exit do you live near? |

1 I live in Miami Freakin' Beach. To hell with everywhere else. There is nowhere else on earth that compares in any way to this city and my ocean front residence. |

Which explains all the hurricanes Florida gets each year. |

1 Who cares? Not me. I was in Florida... once. No thank you. The tallest mountain you have is a highway overpass! At least they're talking snow this tuesday. We actually have seasons. |

1 We have seasons here too: summer, this summer, next summer, last summer. You can keep the snow. I was born in Iowa, so I am more than familiar with it and I've had enough. Who needs mountains when one can swim in the ocean year round? Just remember, while you're scrapping the ice off of your windshield, I'm in short sleeves and shorts. |

1 Great response, make a lot of sense...NOT! We have hurricanes: I was living on the beach for Andrew, one of the most powerful and destructive storms of all time. The building I live in was built to withstand such punishment and we were up and running within hours afterwards. It was a mess and it took a while to completely recover, but these events are relatively rare and we usually go years without a serious storm hitting us. We can see it coming and get out of the way if need be. In 2004 and 2005 we had a series of them like never before, and that was a bit stressful. The only one that really effected us at that time in the Miami area was Wilma, which was minimal and was a minor inconvenience. There's been nothing since. So, what are you talking about? |
