New Orleans Saints

Ex-Viking Sharper looking like ballhawk of old with the Saints

Full story: TwinCities.com

Darren Sharper heard the whispers last season. Despite having the most career interceptions of any active NFL player, he had his quietest season since 1998.

i may end eating my previous words about sharper myself, as it seems that he is still the ball hawk of old...he is still an annoying smack talker though and really must have been tanking last year cause he was bad.

He surely provides leadership to NO. It is very cool they let him use his instincts. Still happy with our current scheme

Packer and Viking fans know Sharper is The King of Fade. He'll be dogging it by season's end just like his last two stints with the Pack and Vikes. As long as he can aimlessly roam center field he'll look pretty good but put him in situations where he has to actually cover someone or make a solo tackle in space and he reverts back to the overrated, over-the-hill player he was last year.

You sound stupid. If he looks pretty good roaming center field, why would anyone with a brain want him to do something different. Dumb logic to call a sure fire Hall of Famer out on.

Have anyone noticed through the first 5 games of the season how bad Madieu Williams is playing. Williams is by far the worst DB in the NFL and the Achilles heel of the Vikes Defense. He can't tackle and he can't cover. Why is he on the team, much less starting for the Vikes? Cut him as soon as possibly PLEASE!!

I wish we have Sharper back, because at least he has a brain. Madieu Williams sucks, he looks dumb and lost the entire game. A smart QB is going to pick him apart, for example see the Monday night game against Green Bay. Cut Williams now!!!!

he sure wasn't "the man" for us the last two years. i still don't think it was a mistake, in that, he was not performing in the cover two defense because it didn't allow him freedom to roam and make plays. he obviously didn't like klink and will be much better off in NO.

You don't only have Sharper back there. You have Sharper and Harper. Then you have Gay or Porter and then Greer. You have one hell of a Secondary back there. That's what you have.

actually you are the one that kinda sounds stupid on this one. players don't get to just roam around in football. players have assignments and they follow them or bad things usually happen...like touchdowns. yes sharper is better when he has freedom, but by no means should anyone just be roaming all the time. the tampa 2 is kinda garbage for safeties though, basically split the field and make sure nothing goes deep. puts a lot of pressure on having good CBs.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Taurus

It's important that you leave yourself plenty of room to manouvres during the weeks ahead, as Mercury turns retro today, especially when it comes to making decisions and airing your opinions to the world. You need to be as flexible as possible right now, otherwise you could find that you've boxed yourself into a corner and have to do some serious back-tracking. You need to consider all points of view and not just your own.
