ironic wrote: Funny they quote McKinney when he seems to be the guy standing there looking confused when a play goes awry. Seriously, he's big but has little talent. Dude, what are you smokin? There's not a team in the league that wouldn't love to have this guy. He's massive and has successfully stopped every middle defender that we have played. I'm not sure what you're seeing. The Vikings have the best O-line in football and McKinney is part of the reason.

This team has to take it one game at a time. This season has had some sharp ups and downs to it. Titans 0-6, then win 2 in a row,. Giants 5 wins straight and now they look terrible. Broncos 6-0 start and then they get whipped at home by the Steelers. Saints won because of a fumble on the opponents 3 yard line. For Detroit I am sure beating the Vikings would be like a Super Bowl victory for that franchise. This is a very dangerous game for Minnesota. They should win handily, but the Lions have played the Vikings tough the last couple of years.

A huge plus for the team is the fact they can score points on anyone. The 'O' needs to reach the point where they simply overwhelm any team with points hence making the other team one diminsional. I believe that we have yet to see the best the Vikings 'O' has to offer as this 'O' is still a work in progress. The Saints 'O' is not gonna get much better but the Vikings 'O' will. The second half is gonna be fun guys if we stay healthy !!!!!!!!!!

Say what you want about Childress The thing is he has put together one good team. Getting Adrian,\Harvin,Sidney Rice, Shiancoe,Birrian, & the VIKES other back that could start for most teams Chester Taylor & loadhollt & hes working out good.,Pretty fair job hes did for a rookie & geting Favre & all can see the play calling has change with A QB that know what he is doing & will get better as the year plays out. I say good job Childress.>>GO VIKINGS

The Vikings may have a big lead in the division but they are far from perfect. It's not as if they have nothing to work on. Earlier in the season they were having some trouble protecting Favre, but the last few games pass protection has been excellent. They recognized a problem they worked on it and it got better. They rank 21st in pass defense allowing an average of 237 yds. per game. At times the pass coverage looks pretty good, but then it seems to disintegrate to almost nothing. They need to keep working on that problem and fine tune the things they are doing well. It's in the hands of the coaching staff. Here's Childress' opportunity to silence his critics.

What I like about the Vikes this year...there is never a sense of panic-or an epic collapse-in the face of adversity. As a long time fan, I was used to that sort of thing from teams of the past. Brett Farve and all are the Kings of Cool this year. And the talent is the best! Think about it- Harvin. A.P.. V.S.. All the animals on defense... Hell, the Vikes even have a great kicker. This is the year.

Even though we seem to have the potential to dominate, have let too many opponents back into the game. Might be to our disadvantage to be having such an easy time with the North division...guys let up on their intensity. I would like this team to finish 15-1 now, and start running up the score on a few teams. There's plenty of room for improvement...... I have yet to see the Vikes beat a real good team unless you count a 44 yard FG miss by Baltimore. It's been a string of high school teams, bye week, Lions, Rams, Browns,Packers, etc. The only team they played with credibility is the Steelers in which Favre floundered with a pick 6(nothing new) and a sack fumble returned for 6. I have the Vikes at or near #10 in the NFL. The Saints are around 6 or 7 and the top 6 are all AFC teams. In other words, it's just another downhill final 8 games for Favre like last year.

I agree this team needs to stay focused week-to-week or they will end up on taking on one the chin to a team like Detroit.
