I believe TT should have already been fired. However, he should not be fired for any one particular decision, such as the one that is the focus of this article. TT should be fired for the overall lack of results and poor record.

He should have been fired a long time ago. He's pretty useless.

This season will be the decider. Can't can him if they do well. They look pretty shaky so far, but they're on the right side of .500. We'll see.

Keep TT and get rid of the real reason we can't win.

What is your definition of doing well? If you believe he should be judged solely on a "what have you done for me lately" basis, he should have been fired at the end of years one or four. If not, he should be judged on his overall record and performance. On that basis he still should have been fired at the end of last season. This season will not change anything much unless the Packers win alot of games and reach the Super Bowl. As much as I want it to happen, it is not likely under TT's mismanagement. However, TT is getting the chance. As you say, this season will be the decider. This week in particular will be a major factor in judging whether TT has brought the team to where it needs to be.

So nothing short of the Superbowl this year is worth keeping TT around? C'mon Fan, I know you hate TT, but that's a little excessive. Making the playoffs would be a positive year.

We'll see. I'm not one of the people that only counts the stuff that goes well under TT's management. I hope Mark Murphy isn't either.

another season 500 or less and Ted will be gone, and should be.I would maybe extend that to a 9-7 depending on circumstance,if the team went 9-7 with good health and thats just his roster that screwed up ect or if it seems he lost the team somehow or what ever.10-6 or better and Ted should be givin another year.
question is,Does Mark Murphy have the stones to fire him.GBP,it doesn't matter what the hell you think, what the hell i think and we have fought about this until god knows when but if the president doesn't have the stones to pull the trigger, then our argument is moot.

If necessary, Mark Murphy is replaceable also. I hope the whole discussion of replacing people ends up being moot. I'm not backing off as long as people need to be fired. I know that many more will join me if the losing and failure continue. For this week though, I prefer to think more optimistically.

Lets just hope,we can both agree no one needs to be fired!
I was wondering about Tauscher, then heard on the radio the Packers should go and talk to Tauscher to see if hes ready to go,then i heard the Packers are going to talk to Tauscher and now Tauscher worked out with the KC Chiefs today.

I hope the Packers talk to him at least. If healthy, he seems to make sense. He knows the blocking scheme, terminology, other players and plays. I hope egos aren't getting in the way of bringing him back if it can help.

TT should have been fired for the Favre fiasco. Favre had 1 losing season with the Packers in almost 20 years (TT fault for the losing season)of service and now it looks like we'll have two losing seaons back to back. I could sit here and list all of the bad decisions TT has made but I'll just put it like this... if Favre beats the Packers in Lambeau in November in the cold, wearing a purple jersey, TT should be fired immediatley after the game and be pelted with the number of touchdown balls Favre has thrown for the Packers. BTW, that's a lot of touchdown balls.

Ted Thompson should never have been named GM of the Packers. People incorrectly gave him credit for hlping the Seahawks build a good team. In realality it was Mike Holgren that was responsible for building the Seahawks to respectibility. Thompson's poor draft choices (why does a GM draft college players ex Harrel that were hurt in their senior year and not able toi play much if at all. This year's Raji also came in with injuries!) TT's inability to pick up free agents during Brett's time here that could have put the Packers in another Superbowl is also unforgivable!! Needless to say that his picking Rodgers when 23 other teams passed on him is still a question! And to top that off by giving Rodgers the big contract extension after only 4 games in 2008 is totally rediculous! Along that same line, why do we give TT a pass on hiring McGarthy! TT's stated that he liked McGarthy because he "felt they would get along well together"...There has to be a better coach out there that would get the Pack back to the Super Bowl! Finally, why is there no talk on getting mark Murphy out of Green Bay! Murphy giving a 5 year exyension to TT in 2008 is just plain wrong! Then TT give McGarthy a 5 year extension! Come on!!!! When Bob Harlan was president of the Packers, he would talk to fans that called and asked to talk with him. I talked with Bob Harlan several times on the phone when I asked for him. He even returned a call to me after I left him a VM mesaage! When calling to talk with Mark Murphy last year and this year, I was told that he does not talk with fans!!! Bob harlan was/is a great Packer! Murphy, Thompson, McGarthy NOT NOT NOT! Murphy, Thompson, and McGarthy should all be FIRED!!!!

Yes, I hope soon (or at the end of the season) that T. Thompson will get fired soon and replaced with someone else to get needed players etc. Our team with the young team has not improved now for a few years.

How can he stay? Putting the Favre thing aside (which had to be done sooner or later), his decision making has been deplorable. Just look at this offensive line he has assembled. 25 sacks already. 25!!!! Aaron Rogers won't be around much longer if he continues to take the hits he has been taking.
I for one don't want to see the teams we had in the 70's and 80's.
I vote him off the island.

Absolutely not; I mean why........the Redskin's GM I would fire; maybe Cleveland's also; but people get real!!! Many of you hate him because he had the balls to tell your boy to hit the road. If there is any talk, it should be replacing MM. Penalized 13 times for 130 yards at this point in the season is not preparing this team to succeed. Our offensive line wasn't that good last year either as Rodgers was sacked a bunch; maybe it comes down to that dumb "zone blocking scheme" we run; maybe it's poor coaching, or maybe it's we have no talent with these guys. Last year our problem wasn't so much the offense, but we couldn't stop anyone. This year our defense is better and Raji/Matthews are talented guys that make it better. I'm not blaming TT for drafting those two ahead of a tackle.

Well what i simply don't agree on is why do get B.J. Raji first pick in the draft? He knew our O-line was already banged up and old it was about that time. Why not get the Offensive line stacked? everyone knows thats the most important thing. Without that you're done. I can deal with the whole Brett Favre thing, maybe it was time for a change. But protect your new quarterback. Hes not going to make it very far with the kind of hits he's taking. Its just a matter of time until he gets hurt. I don't know what they're going to do but get this O-line straightened out now.
