Brett better not end up in minnesota! I like what big Pat Williams had to say along with Darren Sharper those guys are leaders and they're sticking to and for T-Jack! The chemistry is already there with this team and they are all sticking together and confident with what they have which is going to be one hell of a fun to watch I cant wait to see the vikes play this year and what they accomplish.

I don't know, I'm a T. Jackson supporter but if we have the chance to have Favre come in for 1 season, why on earth would we pass on that? Jackson could learn from(I hate to say this) but one of the best... I think that it would take the only question mark away from our 2008 season in a lot of peoples' eyes... When you bring Favre in teams have to immediately respect the pass and it would open up the running game to a whole new level... Not to mention what a leader he is... Out of Green Bay he's leaving a leadership vacuum that is going to take some time to fill... I'm not saying let's do something drastic but, if he wants to come and play are you opposed to having him here?

I posted another guy's rant that had some good facts in it. You're a good poster here and we all have our opininons but, just look at the facts of his post season since getting the ring.(These can be confirmed on nfl.com ). We have no choice but to support/hope/pray that Jackson is the man this year.

Why would we want to win ANY games with Green Bay's quarterback? How many MORE years with retire, unretire, retire, unretire. Way too much ego and what's really left in the tank?

First, I do think Farve has more in the tank. He had a good year and didn't get too beat up. The biggest thing is I just don't like the waffling back and forth. Retire, unretire. He's turned his addition from painkillers to wanting the limelight and it seems he can't live, or think clearly, without it. The guy is a drama queen now. The other thing is I think he has too big an ego to take any coaching anymore. He's going to do it his way on the field and the team will sink or swim depending if he's hot or not. Last year in the final game he was not hot. Don't forget he owns the reccord for interceptions too. He tries to force things too much and that is because of a world class ego. He could be a real cancer in the locker room.

He might lead the team to the playoffs, but more often than not, he is the reason for the playoff exit.

T.Jackson beleves the Vikes are his team and Childress agree's.Thats a good sign for Minn. question is if the Packers release Favre ( which is possible) will Childress still think the team belongs to Tavaris Jackson!

I hope so Eric Favre would be an added distraction, and as you can tell, I'm not enamored with his playoff record. Truth be told, his iron man streak and interception mark will be his lasting legacy, not his 'great under pressure' aura.

Here's yet another reason, this time, outside of the facts: After all the hard work, new aquisitions, etc. MN finally has what I believe is THE team. Bring in Farve, and you'll have HIM getting all the credit. Why? Because he's freakin' FARVE. I couldn't stomach headlines like: "FARVE" LEADS USUALLY BAD TEAM TO PLAY-OFFS". Or worse: BRETT FARVE WINS SUPERBOWL! (with minnesota vikings) BRETT FARVE & His Minnesota vikings prove that BRETT FARVE still has what it takes. John Madden immediately greated FARVE on the sideline with pursed lips. Etc. etc. It's enough to make any Viking fan blow chunks...

T.Jak may be a great athlete, but that alone doesn't cut it, think do you want McNabb throwing up in the huddle, or Joe Montana pointing out John Candy to teammates moments before the superbowl winning drive. There is no reason to have confidence in T.Jak. A.D. made his job easy and he was still mediocre at best. FaRve may be the INT king but he also throws TDs, he'd have to adapt to CHILI never throwing the ball into the endzone. All this talk of the packers front office never letting it happen. BS. their other choice is to have a 12 million dollar tumor on the sideline. He can refuse to play for a team he doesn't want to go to. FaRve is in the drivers seat not the front office.

Well, to be entirely honest here, the whole "Favre won the superbowl" thing is kinda farfetched. Maybe if he was voted the MVP of the game, then they'd say he had a large part in winning the superbowl. Or if he made some spectacular throw like Eli did this past one. But no, football is a team sport through and through, it's never just one person. Anyways, while I despised him while he was on the Packers, if we had a chance to get him, I'd say to take it. Jackson is an unknown, you know what you get with Favre. If he has a season like last season, then you know it's going to mean big things for this team. Why not take that chance, even if it's for just one season. I'd only take it if we can get him for a bargain price though.

You know guys I'm glad Favre has once again waffled on retirement. It's fun to argue about whether or not he should play in Minnie. Gives us something to do until training camp opens. Now here are the irrelevant facts as I see them. No way is Favre ever going to play for the Vikes. Childress is too stubborn to play him over TJ and the Pack will never let it happen. Having said that anyone who thinks Favre isn't an upgrade over TJ is just crazy. How many MVP titles has he won? What's his overall record. And don't give me that playoff crap. What's TJ's playoff record? Fun to dream..fun to argue..Hopefully this year it will be fun to watch.

But then again, how many times have we seen him make his famous "under pressure, back-peddaling, loft the ball down the field and hope someone from his team catches it" interceptions. Im glad the Vikings seem to pretty much be staying out of this controversy. This off-season has taken forever! Camp is almost upon us!

Chili better hope that T-Jack does not turn into T-Joke again this season. If AD continues to get stuffed at the line of scrimmage by 10 man fronts and T-Jack only manages to throw for 159 yards per game all hell will break loose in the Dome with Chili getting the brunt of it!

If Childress is so confident in TJ, openly stake his job on it the way Ditka did with Ricky Williams. He's a scared young QB who folds under pressure. We were so lucky to have an O Line and hard hitting AP & Chester make up for TJ's blunders. What would be worst? Favre, we go to the SB or TJ, still wet behind the ears and another pacifying season with a novice QB?

Kinda late to be addressing the Mckinnie issue. Where now are the Vikes going to find a replacement if/when a suspension is given. I find it hard to believe that there will be no suspension especially after Goodell has had a chance to see Mckinnie's size first hand then reading that a man of Mckinnie's size was hitting another man with a metal pipe. I also find it hard to believe that a Judge will not wish to enable Mckinnie after 4 arrests in 6 years due to the danger to public safety.

I struggled mightily with the prospect of Favre becoming a Viking. I recognize his abilities and balance that with his association with the hated Packers. The more I think about it, I think I would be ok with him lacing up the cleats as a Viking. Think about this: As a Packer fan, what could make you sicker than anything else in this world? The answer: Brett Favre running out of the tunnel at Lambeau Field on September 8th, wearing Purple and Gold on the night where his number was to be retired as a Packer. And that, my friends, would be PRICELESS!!!!!!

I see it like this, T-Jack is only in his 3rd year, has made some good progress and that's what you look for. He's training with Shaw down in FL and the guy says T-jack looks good.+ Berrian is down there training as well to get much needed chemistry between the two. If T-Will would have adjusted to and caught some of those bombs people would have a different opinion of T-Jack going into this season. Vikes aren't getting Farve, they don't need him
