I have to say OL, CP was running for his life back there this year. We need to add players that help out the QB, especially a young one learning. DB was a very close second in my eyes..

We can pick up a offensive lineman anywhere. They are not worth a first round pick. Playmakers, SKILLED POSITIONS should GO FIRST. 1. Claiborne or 2.Blackmon depending on his 40.

Hard to say at this point in time. As has been stated in the past, the Vikings are in desperate need of A WR and a LT. Offensive Line is probably the biggest need. The Vikings could have the greatest QB, WRs or RBs, but if they can't open holes or pass block they won't go anywhere (this year being a prime example).

So free agency the Vikings should attempt to go BPA. Regardless of position (because we have so many holes to fill). Then after FA is over, use the draft to fill in remaining needs.

I bet it is Packers fans picking a kicker as most need lol I know the Vikes need a LT But is Kalil worth the 3rd pick in the draft When everyone has said Kalil isnt as good as Jake Long Does the the Vikes have the Time to find out if Kalil will ever get a good as Long The thing is Do they want to take the Time to find that out The Vikings are in bad need of two wide recivers & the one they have now Jenkins isnt the answer & Harven is a slot reciver I say IF Blaackmon is there take him with the Frist pick & the second pick take a offensive guard Cordy Glenn he is 6ft6 346lbs & runs a 5.26 40 yard dash Now IF the Vikes can trade both there 4th round picks to move back into the Second round to take LT Riley Reiff 6ft6 300lbs & runs a 4.94 40 yard dash He is faster then Kalil The Vikes would have a Good WR & would have a Solid front line to work with & still have there 3rd round pick

Build the defense through the draft.Primarily LB and CB,move Winfield to S.
Use FA for wr and any and all OL via Fa as well.
Defense proved to be key in Championship play.See N.O and G.B. vs NYG and SF defenses.Surprised NE beat the great Balt defense.Oh yea,I almost forgot the dropped TD and the missed FG.
As i said, draft for defense.Plenty of quality receivers are available in FA.
We'll have to see just how good Ponder can be.

How good can Ponder be? In the QB hierarchy of our division... Rodgers, Stafford, Cutler, what is Ponder's ceiling?

If a stud QB is there when your number comes up, draft him. Ponder is only a torn ACL away from being as effective as McNabb. Just make sure Spielman gets the pick in on time, although it would be pretty funny to hear the buzzer go off when he's about 10 feet away from Roger G

first off not a single one made the S.B.In fact Rodgers got there last year as a wild card QB.
Ponder was a rookie with no training, didn't even get reps because of Mcnabb.
I was not for him starting at all this past season. He needed training, orientation into the NFL and more talent to throw to and block.
Don't even offer up the here and now.90 something % of qb's need time.Check the history on that FACT.
I graded him as doing well with everything considered.Started better than he finished,in part because defenses started keying on his strengths and weaknesses and in part because team lacked talent and Peterson was gone.Peterson is a different kind of challenge for defenses.
-I- incomplete was my grade.
Anyway,we'll see but only when we get the supporting talent.
In the mean time I'm all in for a rock solid defense, starting this draft. Can't run and can't pass on us.I haven't seen "The Purple People Eaters" in years,I want them back first.Don't even quote your pundits, don't give a shit.Been a fan for 42+years and I know my shit, don't need anybody telling me crap because I'm smart enough all by myself.

Again, Where would you place ponder's ceiling as a QB in our division. Rodger, Stafford, Cutler, Ponder, is the hierarchy as of 2012. Who can he replace to get into the top 3 and how long will it take? Answer the question this time!!

Front page of NFL.Com has a header Rams and Vikings will listen to trade offers.Within the article it says Vikings believe they have their franchise Qb.
Does that help your pea brain Mr.Avant?Answer the question,it's you who believes in pundits,so there you have it.

Peterson will not be AD next year if ever. Gerhart is not a difference maker. We have nobody else. Ponder is a play action QB. I don't see how he improves.
Free agent receivers worth double coverage will not sign with a QB who can't get them the ball.
The last year, with your draft choices the team is deteriorating.

I went Vontaze Burfict. We can't play Tampa two without an elite MLB. No one successfully builds a team by drafting offensive linemen high in the draft. You don't need elite corners in the Tampa-Two, either, obviously. Safeties as need. Be nice to get a Mark Barron if we trade back & have two two's. I'd still select RG3, if I had the chance, though. He looks elite & like a fantastic leader. I just find it hard to believe he'll be available at 3. Also, remember that since the NFL allowed headsets to be built inside of the QB's helmut tied to the OC, QB's have not needed to sit. They can play & win right away. So, I am not sold on Ponder & would selct RG3 & only deal him for a crazy-good deal. I love Ponder, but he doesn't have the same upside.

As for WR, they can be found late in the draft.

Looks like the Vikings are satisfied with Ponder. Now he needs time and some receivers.I'm all for drafting great defensive players.Plenty of FA receivers for us to sign.OL they'll have to fix anyway they can.

Rightfully, that is all we will hear until after the 3rd pick in the NFL draft. If RG3 is available & the Vikings Pass, then we'll know it is also likely true.

Ponder Played 11 games he CMP 158 passes out of 219 ATT thats a CMP% of only 54.3 his yards was 1,853 in 11 games with only 13 TDs & 13 INT. Yes I know the Vikings front line was bad & Yes Ponder is a rookie with no training But still I seen so little improvement in 11 games One long ball for 72 yards out of 11 games & his short throwa he was off target so many times. Dont get me wrong I do Like Ponder & he should start next year over Griffen If the Vikies is lucky enough to get him But Ponder need someone to push him He Knows Webb will never take his Job away from him. Ponder needs someone like Griffen to push him someone that he knows can start & compeat with him for the Job Griffen wouldnt be ready to start But he could make Ponder play better Ponder was careless throwing the Football 13INT in 11 games

Seriously, Ponder did great as mentioned not having time or snaps until getting thrown in behind one of the worst OL in the league and with little help at WR. Get the boy some protection and someone else to throw to and he will do very well. Avant, only you would compare a rookie with no off season, no OL and 1 WR against vets with a real supporting cast. c'mon man! We need OL and DBs then WR. I am a fan of a D that beats the other team down, then let our young QB grow with some help from quality players around him.

Who wouldnt be willing to trade IF the trade was to happen the Vikings would get two frist round picks out of it & a few others That would be Worth a whole lot more then Griffen I agree But If the trade doesnt happen & Griffen is there Would you Pass up Griffen for anyone of the three Kalil, Blackmon or Claiborne?

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Sagittarius

Relationships have been going through through testing times since the Solar Eclipse at last month's New Moon in Gemini on May 20. Events may force you to reevaluate the state of a partnership. You may even decide that you need to make some major adjustments if things are to carry on as you would like. During the coming fortnight leading up to the rare second New Moon in Gemini, this may feel like a crisis, but that doesn't mean you should abandon all hope or throw out the baby with the bathwater.
