I'm in Virginia so I'm used to it. Every east coast state south of the Potomac uses "all ya'll" as everyday speak. Kind of like "you betcha" in the Lakes region.

Wow, you guys are missing the picture, What the Packers are going to do is sit on Favre until after training camp and then release him or trade him, that way they can know that any team he goes to would have a tough decision to make due to the fact that, yes he is an outstanding quarterback, but wouldn't have really any practice with the offense...
Ted Thompson was an idiot for giving Favre such a tight time line to decide if he would come back or not. Vikings could use that distaste from Favre against Green Bay. If he wants to come to Minnesota to guarantee himself one more ring I'd say let him. Screw Green Bay, he's a big step up from anything we have right now, sign him to a 1 year deal and explain to T. Jackson how important it is to learn behind someone of that caliber if it's possible.
Regardless, Minnesota vs. San Diego in Tampa Bay this year will be the scenario no matter what other kinds of inbreeding take place East of the Border...
I agree with most of this, you are probably right about when he will be released.

The inbreeding comment is a little much though:) It's fun to watch Pack fans and Vike fans pretend there is a "big" difference between WIS and MN. It's all the same other then sports ya know!

Yeah, I deal with a "special" crew of them at work every day... You guys can't argue though, with the rivalry for 17 years wouldn't it be cool to let him see it from the other side? Even if it is for just 1 year..

As a true die hard Viking fan, like I'm sure most of you are, I don't think I could every fully accept Bret "Farve" as a Viking. At least for me it would be hypocritical. Ive bashed Favre fovever. Ive grown up hating the Packers and Bret Favre, we Vikings fans see him as no one else does. A whiner. He gets his way with whatever he wants and the media loves him. Oh his mom was in an attic, his dad died, he has a "hurt" (pussyitis) thumb, and hes such a hero for playing. Well Fran Tarkintons dad died during the middle of one of his games! How come we never hear the media talk about that? Anyway I would never be able to accept Favre here in MN, my blood is to purple to ever go green. Whether he is a good QB or not I would never EVER accept Bret Favre in MN.

See, but I only hated the guy because of the team he played for... It would be different if he had been on another team, we wouldn't even have anything to talk about... Think about how angry it would make Packer fans to see him in Purple and that makes it all worth while...

Yeah but think about how it'll be if he would "take us" to a Super Bowl.
You'd never get the Packer fans to shut about how it took a Green Bay Packer to lead us to the promise land.
Farve in Purple= Sacrilege!

Pressure from his retirement and not really practicing in the offseason,do we really want him,my opinion our record would be the exact same with or without him especially with some of the changes and adittions we have made...I would rather have him on our team then have to play against him though we sometimes loose that very important game at the end of the year and yes brett has had allot to do with that...I say send him to the afc and lets get on with our lives..

i think were all forgeting that if peterson stays healthy we're winning the frikin superbowl even if i'm the quarterback. favre, t-jack, frerotte it doesnt matter with our improved defense and better than advertized offense the only difference favre would make is we would be 13-3 instead of 11-5 so that is a bonus plus it will phsycologically disrupt the packers season in all likelihood, especially with us opening the season is "favres" house it would kick start what looks like a tough opening 2 weeks (colts )week 2, into what could be a riveting start for the purple and gold. It would not be detrimental in my opinion

FINALLY a non delusional..someone is making sense here..and you know as well as I do that even tho the media is calling the Pack desperate, they still hold the cars in some retrospect, they can wait until week 6 in regular season to cut or trade him..and the Vikes will have to give them sonething pretty prciey inreturn if there is a trade, Chester Taylor, Kevin Williams??? or gasp.. Yes..it gets a little old..ever been outside of the twin cities..in little town MN?? You can find a lot of bald headed retard banjo players there too..and your're right..the 2 states are mirror images of each other..except I'd rather live in the Twin Cities than Milwaukee..they have the best airline ever NWA

i hope we do trade for favre. just dont give up more than a 3rd round pick. him being in a purple #4 jersey would be like ripping the packer fans heart out. then he breaks his leg in the first game of preseason and t-jack is our starter. that would be the best way it could play out.

I would think, they would have a performance added to it,,sush as, if the Vikes get to the SB,the 3rd round pick is a 1st,ect what do you think about that one?

If the Vikes were to sign Favre would he wait till Sunday AM each week to let us know if he wants to play, or would he decide by Fri PM?
His shtick is getting real old. If he plays he will have 9 million IT's and everyone will say it's just Favre being Favre. He has become an embarrassing brat.
Way to go Morgan, I am glad to see someone else can see the true side of this situation. Farve being Farve is not what the packers need. The Packers should hand out cheering towels not crying towels.

I've been a Viking fan all my life, and i've told all my friends if Favre becomes a Viking i'm becoming a Browns fan....I spent 16 years hating the guy and then im supposed to root for him just cuz he'll play ONE season for us? I'm not sayin TJ is the second coming of Randall Cunningham but he has had shown improvement and some leadership qualities, from all account the team is behind him so screw Favre and lets see his TJ can just manage us to the playoffs!

The Vikes want to lead the league in interceptions, but on defense not on offense. It would be a joke to bring him to the Vikes. A old washed up QB is the last thing we need.
one thing you dont realize is no crappy qb is going to have that record.. you have to be good to have the opportunity to throw that many int's.
who ever has favre when all is said and done will have a qb that you will love to watch play the game.

I remember that Movie that had "Mr. Ed" (The talking horse) playing football. Just like you with Farve, I absolutely loved watching that horse play football but I sure wouldn't want him on my team.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not comparing Farve to Mr. Ed, the talking Horse.(Mr. Ed was really smart.)
