Well said, Fred. He really is the "real deal" and a great reflection on our school, program, community, etc.

Thomas is a class act beyond what is stated in this article, I am proud to call him a friend. He is a wonderful reflection of this community and the alumni at Vaca High. He remembers where he came from and takes every opportunity to demonstrate that, whether it be through these donations or by volunteering time at his old high school. I hope that his future is as bright as the opportunities he provides others. As for you "Wood parent" maybe you should reread this article and notice he does talk about donations given by alumns of other schools....typical in that you over looked that as you guys are always complaining rather than listening. Also I believe you meant "two" schools, not "too".

Just in case you were wondering Wood fan, there are more than two high schools in the city of Vacaville. Why can't you just let go of the fact that someone wants to do something nice for the school that they graduated from. It is not our fault that nobody who has graduated from your school want's to give back to your program. You have had pro athletes like Jermaine Dye, Jermaine Clarke, Jarret Bush just to name a few who do not feel a connection to Wood for whatever reason and do not wish to contribute back. As for the here we go again part... "only at wood can a coach cheat at be promoted"

This violin had been played for so long it needs new strings. No one wants to come to your pity party so stop whining already!

I'm sorry that alumni of VHS felt the need to give back to a school that gave to him. Maybe you need to write letters to Jermaine Dye and Jermaine Clarke and whine about how VHS is outshining WCW in the paper. Although, if they haven’t donated already, I seriously doubt pathetic ranting from you is going to change anything.

Jermaine Dye and his family helped put Vacaville on the map. His parents were very active while here and did more for the schools than anyone would ever know. They are a fine family and hope to see them back in Vacaville one day.

Actually, The NutTree helped put Vacaville on the map long before Jermaine Dye came along.

Whining. I believe that Wood is the one who always plays the "poor me" song. Hell they have been playing that since the 8 track was in style.
They should worry more about winning and less about how much coverage they get. Who wants to read another story about Wood getting beat again. I guess you can use the same old "we are young and inexperienced" Also Basic Onion Plant also put Vacaville on the map:)

Oh yes wood parent, will your varsity football coach be ordering additional uniforms for when his players get ejected from the game? Or are you the one who will be supplying them? Maybe that is something you can contact your pro alum about to see if they could donate them for you...just a thought!
