Go with it Payton Manning. Make the best team win! I wished for many interceptions during this game. I was lucky too! M.

I live here in Knoxville and have enjoyed watching Peyton Manning play.It has been an honor to have him as an icon during his time in Knoxville.I have had the honor of meeting and shaking his hand some years ago.I was watching him during the last quarter of the game an told a co-worker that he appeared to be praying. I find it so encouraging not only to myself, but all of the folks watching to see first hand the humbleness of Peyton and his beliefs in God. He sets a great example on and off the field as a real mentor for our young people and I know that his team is blessed to have him. I hope that other athletes will follow his lead.
God bless you Peyton, may you be blessed.

I always laugh when I see "news" like this. You don't think the other team and their fans were praying for the win? Or maybe it's just that Peyton and the colts fans prayed harder, yeah that's it, they prayed harder. It had nothing to do with the skill of the team and the drive to win the game.

It is very nice to see that some athletes know where to look for guidence and help. I am so glad Peyton is finally going to the Super Bowl. I hope and pray that everything goes well for his team.

One should not laugh at that which they don't understand. I'm sure God was very pleased to hear from both sides. Peyton said after the game that he said a few prayers and that he didn't know if it was right to pray for those kinds of things or not, but he did. WE should be in prayer about everything! God Bless Peyton Manning and the courage to express his faith!

What a great role model for our children. I wish there were more like Peyton. I noticed him praying myself and wondered if anyone else had. Great job Peyton.

I am a big Peyton Manning fan. We were students at UT at the same time. I admire and respect what he has done on and off the field. I do have a problem theologically with this, though. Not so much with what Peyton said, but with what the chaplain said. Yes, I believe that God is concerned with us and our lives, but I'm not sure a football game or any athletics is tops on the list. Especially when one is praying to triumph over another (be it life, sports or whatever). God is concerned about us, but I'm not so sure there is concern over we win at sports. We cannot and should not judge the authenticity or heart behind the prayers offered by Manning. He has a tremendous opportunity to be a role model for a lot of people. I am careful, though, to tread into the waters of praying to God for victory over my fellow brothers and sisters. I wonder what God's thoughts are on Peyton's multi-million dollar salary? But that's another issue...

I am a follower of Christ, I have a relationship with this team and am a huge colts fan, but as I sit in East Africa and am aware that 4 billion people in the world live on less than two bucks a day, I think Tony and the mature believers involved with the colts would not be pleased with this article. Yes prayer works but not for parking places in America and Super Bowls. I hope the writer will see this foolishness and how much it hurts the heart of Christ to make the Gospel so funny looking. I am glad Peyton prayed. I hope it was his team to do their best.

I didn't hear anyone say it had nothing to do with skill, Peyton has plenty of that. All they were saying was, a little prayer never hurts.

This is news? He better be praying that the monsters of the midway don't chew him up and spit him out on game day. We all know he can't win the big game he proved that when he played for UT. Did Peyton win us a Natl. Title in 98? No. Did he ever beat Fla? No.

I'm sure some athletes are phony but Peyton is a genuine guy. Prayer is between you and God. and yes if it is God's will then it shall be done. Why don't we lose the bad language and pray harder for those less fortunate and for those who just need learn what prayer truly is and what it can accomplish in a TRUE believers heart. In a TRUE beliver... God has all power and it has nothing to do with who prays harder.
