Raiders again inept in loss
The Raiders could generate no rushing offense, nor could they generate a consistent passing offense.

well this article trashes the running game but when you have such an inept passing game, teams don't respect it and can gear themselves toward the run. russell showed some improvement but the drops make his stats look worse. don't get me wrong he is still really ineffective but he is looking like there may be some hope if the receivers can learn to catch the ball

That's the biggest problem...When Russell hits his receivers on target, they don't catch the football. I see potential in Louis Murphy and keep hoping for Chaz Schilens to come back soon as I saw potential in him at the end of last season. I'm just so uncertain right now as to whether or not Jamarcus Russell is the leader that our offense needs him to be.
I agree with Tom Cable when he said that our defense was good; they're just on the field 70% of the game average, but I think they can still use improvement. Until our offense can get into the scheme of things, I really don't expect much. Personally I don't think Michael Bush and Darren McFadden are being utilized to the best of their abilities, but when opposing defenses play 9 in the box because there's no reason to respect your passing game, it doesn't help things at all. |

I hope when ever Schilens is ready that they sit him for an extra week...I would hate to have all this hope for him just to have him re-injur it....
I didn't see the game but it seems like Dropped passes are a big factor...that also adds to Russells lack of confidence...if the WR's and the QB don't trust each other....than they will only make each other worse. |

Time to change the QB. Russel is not the man for future or now, big money waisted again. Raiders need a better QB and leader.
