You don't need to prove anything when your job is secured. McCown and Gradkowski need to perform to show who will be the 3rd string QB, not Simms. Do you think Gruden will put himself in the same situation he was last year? Come on now, Simms gets hurt and Gruden is stuck using a 6th round rookie to finish the season. If Garcia gets hurt do we use Gradkowski again? lol,
We could give McCown a well deserved shot but then again, Gruden is placing himself in the same situation as last year. Putting in unproven inexperience QB's didn't get the job done last year and Gruden not going that same route this year if something should happen to Garcia. Garcia was bought in to give Simms the time he needs to recoup. in 2-3 weeks Simms will be ready to take his job back. That's if Garcia gets hurt or doesn't deliver for this team, it's not Gradkowski again! Like I said McCown might deserve a shot but Simms is the starter on this team, always was and always will be.

The media hyping Simms gets released, traded, cut whatever. Go find out why Simms isn't going anywhere. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out. Simms is way to valuable to just let go, besides he's the only QB on this team that can carry out Grudens complex play book. So lets put it to rest already, hopefully Garcia performs above and beyond what he's expected, if not Chris Simms is waiting on the sidelines to regain his starting job!!

If Chris Simms was hurt or couldn't perform he would nave been gone a long time ago, Gruden and his coaches are the only one's who know what kind of shape Simms is in and it can't be as bad as the media portrays it to be. I could name a few players that didn't take a snap in preseason, does this mean they are going to be cut or traded?? lol

You don't show all your weapons in preseason, Gruden is a few days away from showing what this team has and it going to surprise a lot of people in this league!!
