Cutler was a pro-bowl QB, I think he'll be okay, BUT we have to give the boy the protection & tools to do the job he was hired to do! After all this twiddling, the O-Line is still porous and doesn't open lanes well enough (I think that is the problem with Forte right now, or...?) And, the WR corps doesn't inspire much confidence. Even the tight end situation is iffy, Olsen was double-teamed to death and now Clark is injured. Fuggit, I'll take Cutler any day! GO BEARS!(Nice to see you around, Dimz!) i think dimz means that after teh cardinals game rex never recovered. and urlaucher torched the cards that game haha

Urlacher was a freakin' MONSTER in that game! Oh well, that was then, this is now...I don't think we'll ever see that kind of production out of Urlacher again. Achy old man (like me)! Rex rose to his level of incompetence, he was limited by short stature & lack of imagination and mobility. I think he'll slowly drift off into NFL twilight as a journeyman trivia question.

Brian i think, to be honest, stopping giving a sh!t after they lost the superbowl. Maybe cuz he kinda knew he probally never have another chance. However, with that said, his C game is better then a good chunk of NFL MLB's A+ game on any given Sunday. At least thats my opinion. Rex will eventually start one day for Tampa at age 36...it will be against Detroit and he will throw for 4TD's no int's 400 yards in the air, and then will get injured in 4th quarter right before the 2 minute warning for one final time... oh..you may be wondering why he started the game? well, he was playing for Brett Favre who was being saved for the playoffs that year at age 47. ~Fin

Thanks for the grin! I just read this: "Even if Schaub stays healthy, Grossman may get a chance. The starter produced a pathetic 55.9 passer rating in a 17-point home loss to the Jets, and it won't be long before coach Gary Kubiak realizes that his continued employment might depend on shaking things up by sitting Schaub down." You might be right yet, Dimz! However, I'm sick of worrying about fooking Rex Grossman, now I have to worry about Jay Freakin' Cutler! *sigh* Some days you can't piss a drop! FUGGIT, GO BEARS!! (p.s. My Sox are about as suck-ass as your Cubs, man! What a disaster!!)

Rex had some of the best tools I've seen in a Bear's QB-- arm strength, accuracy and touch -- but he found himself in a no-win situation after 2 or 3 season ending injuries and the Chicago sports media and fans took his head out of the game. Not to mention an offensive coordinator who is seriously -- OFFENSIVE (not in a good way).
I had always hoped that he would -mentally- be able to overcome the incredible pressure and pounding of the rabid Bear's media in Chicago, but that was obviously too much to ask of the 20-something kid.
I thought that he would have success if he moved on and could put his career with the Bears in the past -- here's hoping you accomplish that.
Good luck to you Rex.
