Perfect Packers: Can Green Bay finish 16-0?

Oct 18, 2011 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: CNN

The last time we saw the Packers lose, in Week 15 last year, we wondered if they'd even make the playoffs.

guys, your arguing about S.O.S. for a season that ended more then 2 months ago.Lets chat and look forward to next year.
Teams that suck 1 year can be much improved the next, teams that were great, may struggle may it be losing to FA and not sugg.refilling the roster or by injury.
next year Minn plays a 15-1 team twice,,GB plays a 3-13 team twice,so guess who has the advantage in the hardest schedule contest so far?
eric, I couldn't possibly agree with you more. SOS is meaningless at the beginning of a season. It's less than that now. However, didn't you see what the Viking fans say about ezg:

"Your dealing with a supporter of Avant. There like two peas in a pod in our site.Neither can keep track of who says what in the forum, nor do either make sense more than once a month or two,so good luck."

As the Viking fans say, good luck!

You can't "get back" to something you never did. Please continue with the comedy routine though. I now know why the Viking fans hate you so much. They don't see the humor in it.

Thanks! but look at it..Green Bay plays Minn. who was 3 13,,MInn plays GB who was 15-1,,so Minn does have a harder schedule.SO its GB fault ( for an easier schedule in my senario) because Minn.has to rebuild the ship over the next few years,a nd GB is nearer where they have to go ( at least for the short term).
IM looking forward to seeing if they resign Ryan Grant at some point ( im guessing April, unless RG finds a nice deal earlier)Wells,id be shocked if he comes back..WIth Greg Jennings due a huge deal after 12 and Raji,Mathews coming up after 13 and Rodgers coming up after 13 or 14,something has to give.Finley is up after 13 so there is 8M or so for or to help Raji,Mathews and or Rodgers,Clifton and his 8M ( assuming Sherrod ends up being the very good LT i beleive he can be,but, that was a hell of a leg injury he suffered,,so hopefully the young man can do what he loves to do_).Lots of questions, senarios and options.Looking at cap space, does TT trade down and grab extra picks and cut some vets if he is right and improved the team? or do you trade our 1st and 2nd and go up into the middle, upper part of draft and grab a specific player who can really help.I dont see TT to involved in FA unless he cuts Clifton,Driver or both or either takes a paycut or released.IF COllins retires, there is big bucks ALSO a huge hole at FS and i would like to see Woodson move there, less wear and tear and hits on his older body and he can use his knowledge, experience adn speed and end up being a pretty damn good FS.SS,there is still Charlie Pepprah..He filled in a SS in 2010 and played very well and a huge part of winning it all,,last year he played FS replacing Collins and played well, not as well,he struggled there,so he can play SS over Burnett ( who missed a ton of tackles, which i hope can be corrected and it was basically Burnetts Rookie season last year,as he only played 3 games his rookie season and hurt his knee or pecmuscle ( cant remember which one) so its his year back and sometimes it takes a year to get into it_)
Im also hoping they resign Brandon Chilar to play OLB,he may be that pass rushing OLB they really need to add to qb pressure AND take the double and triple team from Mathews.Of Course Chilar is coming off a lingering Hammy injury,so if can pass a physical and prove hes healthy 100% ect,he can really be a low cost, low cap number and a real contributor!

We all know TT is not big on free agency. As I've said before, I'm through complaining about that because I will never argue with Packer success. Chillar has played pretty well in the past. I hope he isn't past his prime if they go in that direction. I really would hate to see the Packers lose Wells, but I understand it is a business. Good lineman are valuable, especially when a team has a QB like Rodgers to protect.

I agree that Woodson would make a good safety, but as long as he can play corner I think he should. The coaching staff knows best I trust. I had hoped Williams and Shields would have taken bigger steps forward last season. If they don't show more than last season, the Packers might be forced to keep Woodson at corner.

Glad you mentioned Shields. He played very well as a nickel in 10,not so much in 11.I do wonder if the lockout/lack of camp cut down on some valuable time to learn as his role increased.A normal camp and if Shields doesnt improve, then yea,Woodson is playing corner until he retires or leaves GB

The Rams just agreed to trade the #2 pick to Washington for 3 1st and a 2nd...so while INDY takes Luck, Washington at 2nd takes RG III,,,Minnesota at 3 picks ?????? so if Minn is happpy with Ponder, maybe a big play WR is in order? maybe a DE? Maybe Minn trades down a few spots and grabs a high pick on top of it.
Cant wait until the draft!

Same here this should be a good draft for the Vikings They have there pick of any of the top six players left Myself I would like them to Pick Poe & go LT second round Then CB or WR third I really dont think the Vikes could find a defensive player as good as Poe in any of the other rounds I think Poe is going to be a force in the NFL for a long time

Thanks again. I love how you confuse me with other Packer fans. I know why the Viking fans said what they did about you. It is obvious why they can't stand you. As for Avant, I have no clue what you are talking about. You were too gutless to answer any of my questions. I asked you who he was and why the Viking fans hate you and him. I never expected a chicken shit punk like you to answer, and of course I was right as always. ROFLMAO Thanks again for providing so much comedy to this site!

I would love to see Shields step up and take a corner position. I agree with you that Woodson would fill a safety position well. Can you imagine how versatile he could be at that position. On top of everything else he is an excellent pass rusher. The opportunities to do that from a safety position are greater than from the corner. It would help the Packers create more pressure on the opposing QB. At this point in his career I also think he would probably get more interceptions at that position.

Not to mention he wont be taking the punishment.Hes pretty physical on the line,so lots of hits.I dont think C.W. would be better then Collins, but, hes better then what we have now,of course,if we can draft a almost sure hit corner,CW can move,if they can find a safety,CW has his home, but,at mid 30s,how many years does he have before his eventual fall back..It happens to every player if they play long enough and CW is playing remarkable for his age ect.The PI.bother me but he is still pretty productive but i still feel better with him at safety.
