Thank you all for doing my poll. I was wondering how many others felt as I do towards Thompson and McCarthy. I really miss the days when Brett was with us having fun and seeing him in practices goofing around. Now he's with the team I hated the most having fun and showing us all he still has it. I torture myself wondering what could have been if Thompson wasn't such an @ss to him and surrounded him with some good players he begged for and a decent offensive line to protect him. He probably would have had at least one more superbowl ring with us and still having fun in Green & Gold like he now is in purple. There is only one person to blame for this and it is not Brett!

Both are to blame, BF also held the Packers organization hostage. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but both side are to blame. BF got to the NFC title game because of TT players and FA's, I don't think I have to name the players, do I? BF also threw the pick that held us from winning the Superbowl. Do we remember the playoffs after the second Superbowl? I was at one of them, the Falcons. We were not getting very far with Sherman either. BF has blame, as TT does also.

Just want to say I respect Rodgers and think he's a great qb. With that being said as a Viking fan I couldn't believe that the coaches had Kampmen dropping back in coverage on like 3rd and 11 last monday night. And they got Raji as a devensive end. Dude played DT in 4-3 defense in college. Forget the 3-4. You have all the right players to stick with the 4-3. You got 2 monster Dt's and a pro bowl DE for crying out loud. Draft or trade for an 0-line fast cuz Rodgers and the WR's are too good to wait. Good luck and thanks for #4.

The trading of BF has nothing to do with the team's current performance. Rodgers is one of the best in the NFL. You're sort of livng in the past. Before BF, the Packers actually won many championships with a QB named Bart Starr. The Pack won only one SB with BF in 16 years.

I agree with you `100% Jerry! AR is among the best qb;s in the NFL and many would agree, the problem so far is,you can take the greatest qb in the history of football, but,if he has no time to throw,he will struggle adn that is exactly whats happening with AR now,he has no time to throw and the time he does have, hes hanging on to it to long.
This poll thats up has more in mind with the Offensive line play then Aaron Rodgers play, folks understand for the most part, and the fact Donald Driver said AR will be the best qb in the NFL speaks volumes of what this team thinks of him.

"This poll" is about TT and MM. The results reflect their poor results. There are several Packer players that are playing quite well this season. Why would this poll have anything to do with any of those players? Are you saying that AR should be the "best" QB in the league, and because his numbers don't reflect that, that TT and MM suck? If so, I guess I see your point. The Packers are failing to play up to expectations and hopes, yet again. I too believe AR's numbers would be much better if the Packers had better management and coaching.

im not sure if management and coaching as it is player personal on the oline, but, you can intertwine the 2 together so i guess your right and wrong at the same time.
Ted should have better personal on the line,
McCarthy can only coach what he has givin to him,so can we blame him at this point?
AR;;i am convinced he is a very good qb and given a good oline would rank among the better qb in the league which im sure hes close to doing now with this line that hasn't played well together as of yet.im disappointed at this point, but, certainly not giving up on the season,we are far from done with 12 games left, and with this bye,an extra week to heal, think about shit, get it together for the final 12 games.Obviously with out protection AR will get alot of hits on him and he is proving to everyone,he is a Tough SOB, but a qb is only one hit away and hits will take their toll,so protection is needed and this is the big part of the bye week,to get protection. If so GB will be on their way to a nice run and hopefull a playoff birth,if not, there will be alot of the same thing and TT prob. wont be around next year,Sad part is i actually like McCarthy but he can only do what with what he is givin.Listen to Jon Gruden on the Minn/GB game ,he loves Coach Mc. and so do alot of commentators on TV, but, if TT is gone,so is Coach McCarthy

A few years ago I know I wondered what was gonna happen after Favre retired and could AR step up and be a player. That question has been answered in my opinion. Rodgers is every bit the talented player I hoped we'd have at QB following #4. As for the team being "destroyed" by TT/MM, I do not agree with that. I will admit this is an important season for both as we have had only one good year since TT came on the scene. We have another season like last and I think neither deserves to stay for 2010.

You say the Packers haven't been "destroyed" by TT and MM. I wouldn't call that a ringing endorsement. I'm glad to see you're coming around. I knew everybody would eventually. How much losing people enjoy may vary. But it's safe to assume everyone has a limit.

GBPfan; granted everyone has a limit, but I'm not too worried about this team not being successful. I'm afraid you'll just have to get used to seeing TT/MM around for a while. The Lions gave the Steelers a tough game today and they are getting better. We need to win that one next Sunday.

I'm not worried either. It looks like "a while" will be a very short time, unless Mark Murphy is as incompetent and useless as the rest.

I know you dont like Ted,but, its almost like you want the Packers to lose for the excuse for Ted to get fired.
Thats what it sounds like. You might be dispointed as even if the Packers finish under 500 or 500 there is no guaranty Ted will be gone,so enjoy the season for what its worth adn we will see whats what

Hi gang,
I just want you to know you are all more than welcome to hang out on this topic and discuss anything you wish besides my two favorite villains :) I recognize most of you from last year and respect and enjoy reading all your opinions whether I agree or disagree. I tend to be somewhat colorful in my figures of speech. I don't mean TT and MM will literally destroy the Packers such as make them become extinct or semi-pro. That can never happen. What I really mean is dooming them to years of mediocrity. In my opinion TT is too cheap to open his wallet and get us some key players we need. What did he do for us in free-agency this year?? It's like that every season when there are many valuable free agents that could help us out. I really think TT is more than satisfied to spend as little as possible even if we have losing seasons. The bottomline is the stands will always be sold out in Lambeau whether we are 2-14 or 14-2. I truly believe the money he is saving by not getting quality free agents goes in his and others pockets. So I really don't think he cares so much as he fills up his wallet.

As far as Brett goes, I tend to be one-sided on this subject as I always was and will be a huge #4 fan. Rodgers is an outstanding young upcoming QB. Unfortunately our pathetic offensive line will make him look bad as it would any good QB. There will never be a QB like Brett Favre. He would go toe to toe helmet to helmet with the biggest meanest defensive linemen in the NFL and not back down (Warren Sapp) for example. He would get hit so hard you would see blood dripping from his mouth as he was getting up from the turf (Steelers). He would not be afraid to put his body on the line and block for his backs. He was a comedian in practices. Rodgers is damn good but he is no Brett Favre. What a game he had again today, guys! I really miss #4 and wish things could have been different. I have to blame the albino dude (Thompson)for lining his pockets with free agent money as he will keep doing so long as he is with us.

Anyone notice how well Mike Nolan is doing with Denver? I just hope our Safeties get healthy and we rush Kampman more, The D needs to play better for the Pack to have a chance, the offense can put up points, the D needs to step up more. BTW, TT isn't going anywhere, get used to him being around for awhile, but MM? He might be the one that loses his job if this team doesn't at least go 10-6. I just don't see any emotion out of him like in past years. Another point, why isn't Grant getting the ball more? TT signs this guy to a nice contract and MM never uses him, and when we do, it seems to be working, behind a SHITTY line. I just don't get it, I thought RG would be getting better numbers. It certainly would take pressure off of Rodgers and our D.

As much as I hate the thought, I think you are right about TT not going no where. He will just make McCarthy the scapegoat and Capers will take his place. I guess it's cheaper to sign Grant to a nice contract than get quality linemen! No good linemen, no running game, no passing game. In comes Flynn when Rodgers finally goes down. I think we are screwed this season. People just don't realize how important a line is. It's like the HD in your PC :)

Cowher or Shanahan? They wouldn't be a bad option, just saying. Too early for that talk. I want MM and TT to stay around, that would mean a successful season in 09.

Ryan Grant is a decent back and his contract is full of incentives so his base salary makes him a good signing, but,he just isnt a great back, but, hes serviceable as a back.I wondered about Capers being D coor. and replacing Mike McCarthy if fired, although that wasnt the plan as Capers was the Packers 4th choice, but,it might work out that way.
If the Packers have a losing season,Ted should go,Coach Mc,is doing what he can with what Ted gave him and alot of people spoke highly of Coach Mc. Jon gruden, when they worked together in GB in the mid 90;s for example and many commentators mentioned insiders respect Mc. as a coach, now will that matter who knows, but,MM should be canned because of TT although any GM wants his own HC,staff ect.
