I understand your support of Kramer. However, by vowing not to visit the HOF, you are merely punishing yourself. Every football fan should visit the HOF. It is particularly enjoyable as a Packer fan.

He (Kramer) is the reason I am an unabashed Packers nut!
I saw somewhere they (HOF voters) felt like there were too many Packer greats from that ear in the Hall and Kramer was the odd man out. Paul Zimmerman from SI said that.
I don't believe it.
Paul Zimmerman is a douchebag who knows nothing about football

I think Kramer pretty much shot himself in the foot on this multiple times. He was the first player to really effectively market himself for after-football careers, but he wrote a lot during what even he says was his "I love myself" phase, which according to him ended long ago (like telling Frank Sinatra how to sing), but seems to continue. He has so pissed on so many of his teammates and coaches, and so marketed the Lombardi line that I'd bet the Hall of Fame fears for what he'd do if he were ever elected. You ought to read all of his self-glorifying books...for example, his "Distant Replay" book, it's essentially how he's so great (down to printing a letter from his ex-wife saying he's a good guy) and running down some of his teammates, which is a continuing theme. He'd said horrible things about Henry Jordan in his "Farewell to Football" boook, but in the "Distant Replay" book he tries to make nice to a guy who's been dead for 20 years and can't respond.

The guy's been married a bunch of times, and finds venues to run down all his ex wives, again see his "Distant Replay" book.

I read a book about all time Packers numbers where the author (a 50 year fan) said essentially that Kramer was a good player but a real jerk to fans.

My dad loved Jerry Kramer as a player, and I have to say he was really, really good. But he's a major jerk, and there are too many people from that era that remember that. I'm betting many of the Packer Hall of Famers are part of why he's not there.

As long as he is not in the HOF, the HOF is a joke. It is not about how many players from a team there are, it is about who the best players were. Frankly, he was a lot better than many that are "enshrined". What a bunch of nonsense.

You belong or you don't...let's quit with the BS that there are too many Packers in the HOF. He belongs, and he belongs before many of the Packer greats that are already inducted...where would Hornung and Taylor be without him? Would Starr have scored that TD in the Ice Bowl...Who would have carried the old man off the field on their shoulders...Put the petty reasoning and jealousy aside and give him his due while he is still alive and can appreciate it. He was the best of the best!

I've said this repeatedly:
Shame on the Hall Of Fame voters!

How can Kramer be a STARTING GUARD on the NFL ALL PRO ROSTER for the 50 YEARS of the NFL
and NOT BE IN THE HALL!?!?!

Cheech.....

Excellent list and comment. Perhaps that fact alone is evidence that Kramer belongs. Check out www.notinhalloffame.com They have all those not yet in.

I was born in chicago and from the time i started watching football i hated the bears. the packers have been my team for almost 60 years and i have been through the good times and bad times. Jerry Kramer is and will always be a hall of famer in my book. A real
class man who was the best right guard ever, even John Madden thinks so. Now if the idiots on the voting committee get their heads out of their backside, Jerry
will get the other ring fitting of a one of a kind.

Jerry Kramer should have been put in the hall of fame years ago.
He is a class act and you never heard a bad thing said about him.
If the nominating group would get their heads out of their back side
Mr.Kramer would get the other ring he so deserves

Jerry is a hall of famer in my book. He was instrumental in the Packer success and he deserves it. I sent him a copy of Distant Replay via the Packers and he sent it back to me signed with a nice note. Great man. Thanks Jerry!!!

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Pisces

There's a clash today between the past and the present. Someone wants to dwell nostalgically on the good old days but someone else is determined to forget all that and only concentrate on the here and now. The trouble is that neither side will want to concede to the other person's point of view, leading to bad feelings and upsets. If you are one of these people, try not to be too entrenched in your own opinions.
