"They're saving lives and keeping people safe. They're heroes — and no one sees it."

LOL, now THAT'S funny!!

Way to glorify a rent-a-cop.

The only word that comes to mind is desperation both for the production company and viewers. Some of these guys at MOA do a good job, but some are hobby-cop want-to-be's that are downright scary. What the story didn't say is that some, perhaps all, are not MOA employees but work for private firms. I know one who worked there that was an employee of a company called Avalon, not MOA.

None of the Mall of America Security Department works for a private firm. Avalon previously supplemented security on weekends to only work at the mall entrances to help enforce the curfew. They were fired because they were idiots.

I used to work at MOA as security. In no way are they glorified rent-a cops, there is so much stuff these guys do it is amazing. Avolon isn't out there anymore, they canned all of them so that the mall had its own entity working out there and it is all Mall secuirty now.
Beau is an awesome guy as well. He used to be a co-worker when I worked there. These guys work around the clock just so that you hotheads can go shopping....

I saw the pilot, and I'm sorry, it's lame. I don't like reality TV anyway. But, I probably would DVR this, just because it's about something local.

Now, the history of the mall's insurance is way more riveting.

If they can make a show about some guy making cakes (Cake Boss) and some guys selling items out of a pawn shop (Pawn Stars), I'm sure this show will have some interesting scenes in it. Believe me, these guys are on the top of the list. If they can get the trust of numerous government agencies, they must be doing something right. Unless you're on the inside and really know what's going on, you really don't know what you're talking about. You don't like it the show idea, don't watch the show. It's a no brainer.

Where is Paul Blart when we need him? This show will fall flat in its face just like a fat security guard after spending an hour in a donut shop.

Again, why rip on the show. If it fails, it fails. Just don't watch it if you're not interested. If it's successful, great. You're just one of the 1.3 million viewers watched the pilot episode. I don't think losing you as a viewer is going to hurt the show..

I'm sure it is interesting enough. But to make a series? Eh....A one hour episode would probably be plenty.

Shows like this and the people who watch them are just one more example of the dumbing down of America.

Hey, when your lazy self decides to spend a day at MOA, aren't you glad there's someone protecting your safety? I know Doug Reynolds, he could easily run a police dept, but he's at MOA for a reason. MOA is considered a top potential target for terrorism, not to mention TONS of run of the mill petty crime. If you don't like the idea of a show, fine - but don't rip on these people who work hard to protect one of this state's biggest moneymakers.

The only thing more pathetic than these wannabes is the people who's lives are so empty that they would watch a show about Food Court Cops. At least Beau looks like a pretty hot chick. I think I will ask her to join my softball league.

Now that's the most intelligent thing anyone has said on this blog yet. They (mall security) are there working for a living so they can pay their bills, just like you and me. Who's to say they don't have an opinion about your job? They probably do. It just so happens that their living happens to be to keep you safe so you can continue to make your living. Cut them some slack.

Once I was in a food court and some kids were throwing french fries at other people. Yes, the mall security took care of the problem--make fun of them all you want, but when you really need them, they are there!

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
