ooooooooooooh boy....

hmmmm

i cant say williams cuz...he was drafted as LT, and this is his first year playing...but so far i'm not impressed.

i went pace cuz even though he's old, he should be able to read coverages better then what he does being a veteran, Beekman was a close second because he blew a mind blowning 8 coverage assignments versues the frigging browns ...lol wow

LOL indeed! Good points....I guess I was burned about the draft position of Williams, I just don't see him justifying the cost. Maybe he will develop?

Pace DOES piss me off bigtime! Why do they keep saying "eventual Hall of Famer Pace"? It's not like that helps us right now!

These false starts & blown assignments....Christ! We finally get a decent QB and he gets slammed to the turf time & again, I bet Cutler is really pissed off with his protection!!

Later!

the whole offensive line thing makes me sad....ironically it was better when o-line when grossman/orton played and that is saying ALOT..sigh...

it seems the 2010-11 season is building up to have more holes then swiss cheese

o-line
WR's
defense
RB (lets face it Forte is not looking like a premier RB even though its a bad o-line)
did i mention defense?

god damn and we have no high draft pickies for awhile ....are we the next browns-lions next decade?? ACK!!!

I still cant believe the dopes in our front office traded a 2nd round draft pick for Gaines Adams! Did he even play last weekend? God forbid we use that 2nd rounder on a player we need like a WR or Safety or hell even a good o-lineman and a later round pick!

What the f*ck is the management thinking? It sounds to me like Adams was on his way out in Tampa. He could have been had for a lot less. He might have been cut next season. And we give a 2nd rounder for the guy and he isnt even playing.....TYPICAL!!!

Oh yeah I voted for Pace ...What a piece of crap he has been so far. Id rather see Shaffer or Louis in there! Hell even Omiyale might be better. After all he was a tackle before we got our hands on him. Thats the position he prefers.

Doesn't it seem like we try to convert too many of our players? Dudes been a tackle his whole career. If you wanted a guard go sign a f'ing guard or use a draft pick and trade for a good proven guard. Angelo pull your head outta your ass!

You read my mind, Dimz! I like Cutler, but we really paid the farm, the house, the south 40 etc. to get the guy!!

Man, we can't keep having that guy buried into the turf play after play! I agree, what tools do we have to rebuild this mess?

Oh wait, Angelo says that everything is OK....we are set with the WR we have, and our OL just rocks!! Jeez, is Fred Miller still available?

We have some SCARY games coming up, too!! I hope we find what we had vs. Pittsburgh and fast!

Your comments about the Bears being the Lions or Browns of the future doesn't feel good, but man, that might be what we've got!

Man, no shite! My favorite "project" is trying to turn Hester into a wide receiver!

You are right, NMR, who's responsible for the mess with the O-Line? Is that Turner's domain?

Jay Hilgenberg had some interesting observations on the Score today, comments about the "bucket step" in today's NFL O-Line. Very technical chatter, I enjoyed hearing it!

I just don't think this O-Line is capable of improving, but as Dimz points out, how the hell do we rebuild??

Well to be fair, the "Devin Hester Project" is about the only one that seems to be working, he is actually in the top 5 in most WR categories in the NFL if you can believe that.

The Irony is (if you can call it that) is that if the Bears had acquired a proven WR, I believe that Hesters numbers would be even BETTER.

Instead i believe the Bears are getting Chris Chambers which makes no frigging sense whats so ever.....he is same size as hester with less speed and has very crappy YAC stat with lots of drops...makes no sense...he's not a dominate WR that can wrestle a jump ball nor does he have the height. About the only good thing he has is that he runs routes by the book. Its a head scratcher.

Rookie left tackles are over-rated NOT. Williams eats pieces of fecal matter for breakfast. The Bears new nickname for the O-line? The DUNG HEAP

Great article about the screw-ups on the offensive line:

http://www.dailyherald.com/story/...

I agree with you about Hester, i.e. he's developing into an "OK" WR but might have been MUCH more of a threat as return specialist! Guess we just won't know....

I'm not aware about Chambers, got a link? Later, man!

From what Ive read the Bears weren' interested in Chambers. That was right from Jerry Angelos mouth on chicagobears.com .

That seems to make sense because he might wind up being an upgrade to the WRs and Jerry doesnt want to bothered with talent when he can "develop" young players. And we all know how well thats worked out so far!

and that is the paradox...moments after the potential availability of Chambers, media circuits and fanbases were already analyzing what a dumb move it would be to acquire Chambers when Jerry should be looking for a more dominate WR to compliment Cutler....the whole city assumed for a moment that at least making a move to acquire Chambers was obvious and common sense---but then Jerry and the front office opened there mouth and said that they had no interest in chambers AND that they are happy with the WR corp that they have right now.

Just like the weather in chicago changes by the minute so does our opinions of the Bears front office....and it usually always goes from bad to worse. The disinterest in Chambers (albeit a longshot to get had they been interested anyway) really shows that the Bears front office is out of touch with what they have.

There only road to acquiring talent for the next few years is through free agency and waiver claims and trades and the result of not making a "mock" move in trying to acquire Chambers they have successfully made themselves look even dumber and inept as before.
And this already a team that has very little player assests to garner a 1st or 2nd pick in the draft via trade and is to cheap in free agency and poor in developing talent. There wont be a Richard Dent in the 8th round for this team because of it and there sure as hell wont be a Boldin as they prefer to have there pockets encumbered with there manhole sized nickels.

I love my Bears but it is time to start making bold moves instead of applying band-aid after band-aid to a team that already had its window of opportunity shut down on them a few years ago by the Colts.

my 2 cents.

We hear ya! I've lost track of how many band-aids have been applied....Chris Chandler, Muhsin Muhammed, Kevin Jones, etc.etc.

However, we gave away so many draft picks for Cutler, that I'm not sure HOW we rebuild this thing, except with cast-offs and picks in later rounds! I just don't get it, did Angelo think that Cutler would win games by himself??

Thank God for Robbie Gould is all I have to say! I have a feeling that the Cardinals game will be a rough go of it. Fuggit, GO BEARS!

Well, guess I was right again! I still think Williams is a wasted draft pick, did anyone see that pancake block on him during the SF game? I was only glancing at that game & must have missed it.

WHAT A FREAKIN' MESS THIS TEAM IS!! I'm starting to think that Culter is who I thought he was, i.e. the second coming of Grossman!

From today's Sun Times:

The play: Cutler is in the shotgun and surveys the field. Right tackle Chris Williams is bull rushed and thrown aside by 6-0, 255-pound linebacker Parys Haralson.

I had to revisit this and vote for Chris Williams again! NICE facemask penalty, dude!

Jesus, what a shit season this has turned out to be! We had GB in our sights....can't wait for this crap to be over with!

Ravens and Vikings are going to punish this Bears team, hope Cutler doesn't get destroyed!
