i would say the broncos are just as pissed as cutler....
my opinion still is that Orton is not a QB that can push Denver over the edge into a superbowl win(the broncos defense however could win a playoff game easily)...he is not a game changer or play maker. And that is a hard opinion to sell seeing as Cutler isnt lighting it up.
If anything Cutler proved to the Bears that Orton-Grossman werent entirely at fault for all of there performance issues.
Ok you all can go ahead and crucify me now lol
You just cant let the whole Orton thing go can you? Id bet the Broncos are very happy right now.

I never really knew too much of Cutler before he came to the Bears other than the "feuds" he had with Rivers. Seeing how he left Denver and how he acts during games is a red flag. He has that whole diva thing about him that really rubs me the wrong way.

I dont know if you caught this or not during the game but they pointed out that Orton had better numbers last season through 7 games than Cutler did. In no way am I saying that Orton has a better arm or is a better scrambler ,etc but he did/does what it takes. Think about this...We brought in Cutler to run the same offense that Orton ran arguably better last season..And gave up 2 first round draft picks on top of it. If you look at some of the weaknesses on our team we would have been better off with the draft picks. Instead JA is running this team like the Redskins now and trading away our draft picks for pieces that don't fit.

Jim McMahon was never an elite QB either but he did what it took to win games. Fact of the matter is that the off-season acquisition of Cutler was a debacle for a couple of reasons.
1.) Its still a dink and dunk quick passing game.
2.) Not enough talent to utilize Cutlers strengths (wr's and O-linemen)

That off season move was like putting a $10,000 stereo in a rusted out Pinto...Overkill.. And do you really think the Bears will invest the money in any good o-linemen or WRs?

No way, dude, I'm with you on this one!
Orton is who we said he was....an adequate (barely) NFL QB who can hash it out to a lot of wins, but won't go all the way unless he has a No. 1 team around him. Denver is showing they ain't that team.
However, the wins against SD and NE were pretty convincing, as were the Bears win against Pittsburgh. That is what is so frustrating for me, I see the potential of the Bears, BUT they don't follow through!!
Thats what you get with Cuntler. He will win games you really shouldn't win but then he will lose games you have no business losing. a .500 brokeback disenfranchise quarterback. We gave up how many 1st rounders for him?
Cutler's pass to Hester vs. Steelers was lovely, and the TD passes to Olsen were slick. Let's work on that stuff! Hopefully, the Wolfe-on-offense experiment is over.
Considering the upcoming schedule, I'm just not very optimistic....seems to me that the players share that feeling & are just calling in their appearances on game day. I wouldn't risk my knees for this season, would you?

Nice rebuttal!! I run hot/cold on Orton, every time I become an overbearing Kyle supporter (I have been many times), he collapses on me.

I could never tell if it was the Team or the QB doing the collapsing, in Chicago it appeared that the team either made Orton the success or the goat. Same for every other QB in the league I guess.

However, when you see war-horses like Favre or Rothlesberger gutting out wins like they do, you wish we had that stuff! True, they have some real tools to work with, better O-Line protection etc.

I see the Bears being somewhat close, but only in horseshoe/hand grenade terms. This team won't get to the Promised Land, not this year nor for quite a while (since we gave our picks to Denver). I just don't know how we rebuild this thing!

I'm glad for Kyle that he's in a cool city, hopefully the momentum will re-visit those guys. If I have to cheer for somebody besides the Bears, it may as well be the Broncos! I don't see that team as a threat to us in the way that the Vikings and GB are.

Get ready for some rough sledding starting in San Francisco! Later, and GO BEARS!!

Nah i was just responding to Otis's post regarding Denver and Orton. Personally i dont care much for what Orton does unless i have money on a Denver game or if by some misfortune having him on my fantasy league.

I dont think its an entirely fair comparison between Ortons first 7 games last year versues Cutlers. This years Bears are dramatically worse then last year--extensive injuries in key positions, an even weaker offensive line, no running game (literally),WR issues, non-existent defense, and worse play calling then last year. Cutler simply exposed the team by showing them that it wasnt "just" the QB position, but a systematic failure at offense and how reliant the team is/was with there defense.

A big difference with Cutlers Bronocs vs. Ortons is the fact that there defense is exceptionally better and there great o-line and overall offense is also still great. Orton has had undeniable horseshoe in the teams he has played on many different levels regarding his win/loss ratio. With that said he has improved greatly this year, which is something that his old counterpart, Grossman, never did.

I dont put to much stock into facial expressions or if Cutlers a diva, matter of fact way i read it is that he's a very intense QB that wants to win. Rather refreshing if you ask me.

Finally I think the frustrating part about what JA is doing is that there is no defined "direction" in what he is doing, is he rebuilding or is he tweeking, no one is sure....but one thing is sure in that something is wrong when the head coach of football team decides that he's good enough to also run the defense. Then proceeds to not to double up Fitzgerald for an entire game(the best WR in the game) and wonders why his team is losing by 30+ points near halftime.

I guess we all agree on the fact that JA has no plan or direction. Theres no doubt that Cutler has the better tools. Orton is a system QB and he fills that role well. Unfortunately for us JA is taking a stud QB and trying to fit him in a system.

The whole Gaines Adams trade really blows my mind though..WTF was JA thinking on that one? Do you think he came back from drinking one night and made that trade when he was hammered? When you trade a player in exchange for a 2nd rounder you should expect some sort of contribution. I guess not in Jerry land. Another project! great!

JC looked a little lethargic last night, almost as if he were tired. You know? The diabetes could be a larger issue with him. I do know this, if he had his right arm amputated not only would he feel better but he'd also throw less interceptions

Yeah, I've wondered about the diabetes! He is terrible in night games, it might be due to macular degeneration.

Figures if Angelo bet the farm on a lame stud horse!! Wouldn't surprise me one bit. We'll see, but the diabetes angle worried me from the git-go.(not to mention Cutler's tendency to throw interceptions!!)

*sigh* FUGGIT IT ANYWAY, GO BEARS ALREADY! No more national garbage games, please??

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Leo

Be choosy about who you spend time with today. If you're with someone who's habitually miserable or sorry for themselves, you'll soon be dragged down to their level and will struggle to recover again. However, you may feel such sympathy for their plight that you don't see you have any choice but to be with them. If so, do your best to remain positive.
