And to think they all kept saying that, oh yea, Baltimore needs Brandon Marshall and I kept telling people he isn't worth all of the trouble he brings. So where was he yesterday, except fot the fleeting moments of the 4th Q. And against some of the weaker league CB's?
It would be foolish to count the Raven's out. As bizarre as it seems, they seem to play their best when they are backed into a corner and have to win.
Hey you know I have gone on record numerous times and said how cool it would be if there were three teams from the North making the playoffs. I have done the match and it can happen if the Bengals don't have a meltdown.
My apologies to the Dolts and Pats, but the ROAD to the SB comes through the North.
unless someone starts to beat the colts the afc champ game may end up being played in indy. unless of course peyton manning chokes in the early rounds of playoffs as he historically does.

People put alot of stock into them beating the Pats and Cowboys....re: cowboys I just laugh. The Pats...They should have, when you head coach spent the last few working with their offense and Brady...he better know something about how to stop them.
I think the Raven's have a tough schedule this year (I now others do too.)They are playing some top teams in their divisions.

You think they still pipe in crowd noise (in the new stadium) to make up for their pathetic fans?

I like the white surrender flags the crowd used to wave...maybe they still do. if they were smart they'd change it to blue. the crowd noise being piped through the pa system was a total violation but the nfl did nothing about it after an "investigation". they had the dolts picked as the feel good story to win it all with their outstanding reg season record and the tragic dungy storyline...too bad the steelers spoiled their plans.

I'll be rooting for them next week against the Patsies, though. That matchup has become one of the better rivalries in the NFL.

interesting to see what the Steelers do tonight in Denver. I don't think Denver is all that personally, hell the Ravens even beat them.

I think the ray lewis era is over in bmore. you guys need some speed and youth at the inside LBer position. also ed reed either needs to heal up or ride the pine. that dude is afraid to stick his head in there and wrap people up.

arm tackling doesn't cut it in the NFL. Our defense is on the rather pathetic side.

not so much Ray as it is everyone else. Suggs is silent after signing the big one, Ed's hurt and Pryce, well, he IS old. Ngata was out yesterday and evidently the Bengals are better than advertised.

if Suggs isn't giving us production from his position, I'da rather let him go, sign Bart Scott and not see the production due to his absence rather than lack of play.

Dawan Landry is the same way since his neck injury, he's missed more tackles than anybody.

you never know how much guys like ngata play a role tacking on o lineman until they are out. I think he is a difference maker that affects the rest of the Ds performance.

he is, but that doesn't explain how the rest of the team were sleepwalking through 4 quarters. At one point I thought Flacco was on drugs. I'd really love for someone to explain why Derek Mason was all but being mugged in the end zone yet the ref, righ there, didn't call the defender for the no touch after 5 yards rule???? We settled for a missed FG which turned things totally sour. We'd have been at the 1 yard line. GD the Ravens get called for breathing on WR's. It is really tough to do anything when you're called for everything and get very little in the way of calls that go your way. Ed Reed was pulled down on a punt by hs jersey...no call.

And Harbaugh had to throw the red flag on 2 calls that gave the Bungles first downs on 3rd down plays, both being overturned, it seems the officials just do whatever they can to keep our D on the field, just like that last drive by the Bungles in Baltimore.

I hate to go with those that think there is a conspiracy but dayum, it's getting worse and worse each game. If Mason was being touched in the EZ then that's illegal contact GDit. It would be called on Fabian Wash or Frank Walker if the situation was reversed. That's why I am asking for someone to explain the rule to me becauase I don't get it. It seems cut and dried when the D is on the field but fuzzy when we are on O.

At the end of the day, the Raven's did not play well enough to win and I am at a loss on how they can look so good against Denver and then come out so flat against Cinn.

Having said all of that, I know officiating in all sports is at an all time bad, just look at the ALCS & WS, but there is definitely something up in Raven's games. I taped the game and went back last night and watched some parts in slo-mo. Jared Johnson on one play was held and then tackled by the Cinn. line man. Damned official was standing 5 yards away near Palmer and did not call it.

Mason was again literally being tied up on two plays I saw in the upper corner of my screen and no call by the side official. I stopped one play in pause and the official was right there. I have never been a conspiracy kind of guy, but something is up. And it was obvious too last year when the Raven's were winning, so it's not just about sour grapes that they are 4-4.

What's really funny in the last two games is that the Raven's sacked the qb's with the same style and motion that they sacked little girl Brady and no penalty was called...SO... why was it called when they played NE?

He missed three obvious tackles and surprisingly, Harbaugh took him to task about it in his weekly press conference. It's a lot like NASCAR, if you are worried about dying, then you shouldn't be driving.

It's time for the young guys to step-up. Webb should start at CB and we need to see what these young LB's can do. Also, where is Krugar? I say give him a shot even if he can't play special teams. Pryce is too old and too slow.

Suggs is getting a lot of heat here in Balto land. He needs to pick up his game. It's not like anyone is double teaming him and even if they are, too damned bad. You make $60 million, figure it out!

One bright spot for a team that has nothing going on in the post season, Adam Jones got a gold glove today, so that's a little good news in the dismal O's land.
