Ok, spread this idea to everyone you know: let's everyone start pronouncing his name just like it's spelled. Brett FAVR.

not FARV... it's FAVR! Heck, for even more laughs, pronounce the 'E' on the end! Brett FAVREE (i put 2 E's just to emphasize how it's to be pronounced).

Kinds of puts a whole different perspective on things, doesn't it? and how IN HELL did we ever reverse the V and the R in the first place????

Dont make fun of my name. It's bad enough that I hold the most INT's thrown by any QB ever record.

Favre haters ,read the JS story and the comments Al Harris had about Favre and how he feels and how he feels the fans should be. The storywas in June 25th under Sports Day on page 2c. He made these comments on the radio. Thank you Al. I feel the same but I will not cheer on the Vikings. Or hope for bad things for Favre i.e. getting hurt.

Nobody wants him hurt, we all just want him to stay retired. He is wasting the Vikings time and wont help them win a Super Bowl anyway.

I think i figured out why Brett is playing one more season:

1) he wants one final, farewell Super Bowl win

2) he wants Cher to give her final farewell performance at halftime of Brett's final, farewell Super Bowl

He's a guy who wants to play football. I love to watch him... still a packer fan, I hope he does well with the vikings. love to watch him.. Rogers is no slump.. he looked good last year. I look forward to compitition. Could be an interesting year... go pack go.. maybe the vikings won't be called "thief" when caught with a super bowl ring....

Yes they will. It's the only way they will get one....steal one. I dont care, I have mine already, just want more than $10M. Wrangler is not paying well and need to add to my retirement fund.

I hope you all read Harris' comment."And I do think the people of Green Bay- you know if you are a Packer fan, you'll always love Brett Favre ,wherever he plays. "The guy can flat out play football. "He's here 17,18 years, never missed a game that can't be tarnished"." But football wise in my mind his legacy will never be tarnished." There should be some fan now pissed at Harris. But those are the ones that only think there fans.

That is correct I am always here 17,18 years, never missed a game and that can't be tarnished.

Except, like with the Jets, I have a rock head and insist on playing even though I cant throw with my torn bicept.

What injuried can I hide from the Vikings and lose games from it....hummmmmm.....

Harry, shame on you for picking on someone with diabetes! Cutler played (pretty well) while losing weight like crazy in '07. Jeremy called you out in the nicest way--well done, sir. Harris may be a Viking or Buccaneer before we know it. Brett Favre doesn't deserve this from Pack fans. We traded him. He won a lot of games for us. The old guy smells a possible Super Bowl and you can't blame the Vikings for taking the chance. Make fun of Lance Armstrong, if you gotta go there. He's not riding for those other folks. He's riding for himself and the endorsements.

Brett Favre has always been exciting. Playing for the Viqueens will certainly add some excitement to this season. It already has and we're still over a month from camp.
Brett coming back this season makes it a very interesting season full of big time games. Heres a question. If you were a Viking would you want Aron Rodgers or Brett F.? As a packer fan for the long run I want Rodgers. This year if brett comes back I believe it is a toss up for division among the bears, vikings, and PACK and makes for a real nail bitter this season. For the next 3 to 5 years the Pack is sitting pretty and the odds of making it to the Super Bowl far greater than the Vikings who will be looing for a solid quarter back, while the pack will be in position to be very competive much like the Pats.

The real question is can Favre at age 40 helicopter like I can. I am a seasoned 8 year career backup on my 4th team now.

Pats fans would laugh their asses off at that comment. Turd Thompson has turned the Packers into losers. Please don't make such ridiculous statements. We Packer fans only wish we had something in common with any of the well managed teams in the league -- such as winning records and playoff appearances.

My new Vikings fans just wish their team could win a Super Bowl. It's a shame that I wont be able to get it done for them.
