The Chargers found a location for a new stadium in San Diego. The location is next to Petco Park. That eliminates the Chargers from the list of teams intended to move to LA. From the news articles I read on Google News, I bet Los Angeles will get the Raiders back since the Raiders have no plans on replacing their aging stadium and the Raiders have a fan base in LA. I would not be surprise to see the Raiders back in LA. Also, the Jaguars could move to LA too.

Not exactly.......http://www.signo nsandiego.com/news/2009/nov/10 /chargers-city-are-discussing- downtown/ They are discussing and have not stated they will definitively acquire the downtown land. Big difference........ Personally I hope they stay in SD. |

I LIKE IT I DONT LIKE THE RAIDERS YES TEAM YES STADIUM YES DICe |

Do you really think that article means the Chargers are no longer on the list of teams that could re-locate to LA? |
||||
There are no teams on a list to move to LA, or a pasture in Industry. There are only 32 teams, cmon, how long does it take to send an offer to purchase to each one? No Team No Stadium No Dice |
||||
I find it rather interesting that you, who is opposed to the stadium, want action and want it now. It would occur to me that if you were opposed to the stadium you would not want to see any progress. Why is that? |

Honestly, the Rams and Raiders already have a fan base here in L.A. It would make more sense to bring one or both of these teams back to L.A. Another good idea would be to buy a team from elsewhere, and then just rename the team, as so to get a fresh start.
|
||||
That is a good point you make concerning the fan base, however, both teams moved away because they could not sell out the stadiums. They missed the TV money for the second largest market because of it. Even if the voting by other owners concerning the move, and they accepted Mr. Roski as an owner is brushed aside, there is still a cash problem for the former billionaire. No team owner wants to take futures on commercial real estate as payment for a team. Even people with money and a track record in sports like Mike Ovitz cannot put a deal together for football in LA. No Team No Stadium No Blimp No Dice |

In Reply to the Incredibly Stupid "Dont Be Stupid":
"They missed the TV money for the second largest market because of it." Not true. TV rights are negotiated years in advance by the NFL. Local TV stations suffer because of a blackout, but not the owners. "Even if the voting by other owners concerning the move," Not a concern. The 9th Circuit saw to that. "Even people with money and a track record in sports like Mike Ovitz cannot put a deal together for football in LA." But Ed Roski will. He has lapped Mike Ovitz at this point. |
