No team is voting for any other team to move to LA. They don't want to lose the TV income, or else they would be here. Anaheim and LA could not fill stadiums with winning teams. No team will fill a cow pasture in Industry.
Roski has a snowballs chance in a locomotive boiler to get financing for a stadium, and it is doubtful any team would consider a partner who is not paying cash. Someone else said the 710 freeway will be completed before a team moves to LA. Lots of people, many more well heeled than Roski have promised NFL in LA, but none have delivered including Roski himself who had underlings promising football in 2009. The permission to build the stadium may be granted, and an end run around enviornmental law has been signed by the Governor, but the litigation has not been dismissed, and other players like LA County and the Sierra Club may weigh in with their concerns about the impact of the stadium. No Team No Stadium No Dice |

This is kind of a "DUH!!" article, but interesting to see that there no no PRO Stadium people commenting.......
Where you at now? This hurdle may not be so easily bought; I mean jumped. |

Repeat after me "Are you ready for some football"
This deal was done long ago, there will be a NFL team announced by the end of March 2010. No inside info., just common sense. |

Great. In other words the Raiders are coming back. Are you ready for some gang signs? Stands filled with very strange and sometimes violent people?
What a great way to showcase LA County's considerable shortcomings. |

In REply To the Incredibly Stupid "Dont Be Stupid":
"other players like LA County" You are the only person to mention that LA County may litigate. Please provide a link to a story regarding this, otherwise we can all assume you are lying again. |

This is something that has been known all along. No news here, just the facts. But like most anti-stadium folks you treat any news that indicates that just maybe the stadium won't get built as the final word. You keep your hopes up. Though I disagree with Wagner's assessment of the 3/4 rule regarding relocation. From what I have seen to this point, the Coliseum v. the NFL essentially vacated rule 4.3 regarding the movement of franchises. |

You know, that attached shopping mall is starting to make some sense. It will give all those wacky Raiders fans someplace interesting to riot.

Oh my gosh, its so sad to see how many negative people are out there my gosh can everyone stop being so dire on this issue, the article is wrong in many facets #1 he is not going to have to pay any stadium lease issues at all if its San Diego their lease is done they have 30 days every year from here on out to say they are leaving san diego scott free, 2ndly owners are greedy ok! bottom line, any team with half a twit can make money here look at the clippers a perfect example, of a team with no winning history at all, but look at their books, one of the most financially successful franchises in the league have never lost money not once since "he" has owned the team always a money maker, so please people this is LA not St. Louis, not Buffalo, not Minnesota, this is LA there is money everywhere here, why would they build this thing if they wasnt money to be made and the NFL will kill with another super bowl here because of the extras LA has to offer over any other city except maybe Miami, in terms of climate, stars, and buzz, its no contest LA is where you want your major events held, so please spare me the negative scrap, it's done its san diego with 10-15% ownership and a say in how the team is run, or 30%-40% or buy out totally with Buffalo, Minnesota or Jacksonville, its done folks trust me, NFL wants it here for the pure sake of just being plane ol greedy, all the owners are the same greedy ol (well you know how to finish it!)

Just the opening line, "Billionaire Ed Roski Jr.", says it all. Of course he will get HIS football team. He has lots and lots of money and lots of political pals in his hip pocket. This is all hype, drama and feeds old Ed's Billionarious Ego.

Please!!! You Jealous?? |

I agee NO RAIDERS, NO CHARGERS, NO RAMS!!! We need new blood, I kind of like the way "Los Angeles Jaguars" sound. |
||||
|
I hope it's not the "scRAMS" or the "tRAIDERS". I hope it's going to be the "Los Angeles Vikings of City of Industry". I have rights to these names so people don't copy me. Copyright 2009

We hope the Raiders come back. We want to bring plenty of rich minority football players to move in next to Joaquin Lim and Shiuh Ming Ellis so they leave our urban slum forever.
At least they pay their bills and don't shoplift. |

So how many team purchase deals have you been a part of? Common sense should probably tell you that speaking when you have no idea what goes in in such negotiations is a dumb idea. |

What is going to happen is going to happen! I think this particular News Article said loud, clear and fair.
This is great! While we are waiting for a Team, the circus is in town already entertaining us and it is free. The clowns are entertaining because they are stupid. |
