Penalty negates Dolphin Jason Allen's first career interception

The Dolphins' best defensive play of the game didn't actually make it into the stat book, but the way things are going during this winless season, the team might as well celebrate it anyway.

Not that it matters, but Allen got his first career pick in 2006 against the Bears. You should change the title of your article. It makes you appear as though you have no idea what you're talking about.

Jason Allen already intercepted a pass against Chicago last year on a ball that he tipped up in the air and caught for an int.

Jason will be a solid player for the dolphins...and he got an interception last year, therefore, this would not have been his first interception.

Allen's first INT was last year.
This is why we don't take comments from the press seriously.

"By Emily Badger | Special Correspondent"

Even after readers point out the mistake,it isn't fixed.
Keep up the great work Emily, you fit right in.

Still isn't as bad as The Heralds Heat preview, which came out yesterday but still lists Walker,Simien and Doleac as members of the Heat.

Do your homework. This is NOT Jason Allen's first career interception. He had one last season.

Ms Badger's article not just the headline says this was Allen's first INT which it isn't.

Hopefully the astute coaching staff will let Jason Allen start and play the rest of the year. Time to see what they really have given Nicky Satan thought to draft him in the first round then immediately put him in the Satan dog house for almost an entire year. Then Cam and Dom (do the fins have the stupidest coaches names or what) see to move him to corner (oh yea he was an all-american at safety) then move him back to safety. My guess...if left at safety he'll produce and play well.

i sure hope you are right because it amazes me how a guy drafted so high can only now crack the lineup. makes you wonder what the coach's see in practice. I think he's a bust but i hope i am wrong because we need a strong dominant safety like a bob sanders. but make no mistake, jason allen should not even be mentioned with the likes of a bob sanders.

Seriously how can we enjoy and discuss an article when we have to go on to ESPN.com or NFL.com to validate what these "journalists" write. Everyone makes mistakes but this is a pretty big one.

Unacceptable. I mean don't you quickly reference a player page and just make sure before you write an entire article on an easy to locate stat?

BTW, nice job yesterday Jason Allen. Keep it going each week.

Nice article, but Allen's interception that was negated by a holding penalty would not have been his first career interception. He had one in Chicago last year.

Props to you Jason! Finally someone in the secondary showed up to play. So far you've been known as a first round bust, but we'll see how you do against the Bills. We definitely need help there so Capers can finally let the front seven play the same schemes they played last year. BY THE WAY! SOMEONE PLEASE STEP UP AND STOP THE RUN!!!!
