not even close! Im excited as ive ever been! We will watch BF throw his way out of the playoffs! He will be so fired up to beat the Packers he will be overthrowing, getting picked left and right.Dont forget the Packers and Bears both know Brett and his weaknesses,so it will be fun indeed!
You better knock on wood, there is a part of Brett that is a competitor that can't be measured and to think he is out to just beat the packers may be a little skewed in your vision. This is a perfect fit for him, there isn't a lot of pressure on him to win the games by himself, their defense is great, as is their running back, you see how well he did when the Pack had that combination. It will be a fun year to watch these teams compete in the North.

Sharper knew him well too, but it didn't help him pick off the old man.
What will happen if Minnesota dominates while GB flounders? It could happen.

it very well could! And if it does, changes will be made im sure. Its all the part of it.

Favre could also hit the wall that he started hitting last year, and folks might find out it wasnt just his arm/shoulder.the man is 40 so if he did hit the wall, who could blame him, after all hes done.

We have seen many occasions when BF is fired up in the first quarter or so and he was throwing INT,over throws ect and he will be pysched to beat the Packers and i still beleive he is coming back as his ego wont allow the Packers to cut him without his chance of revenge.Hell he wanted to be cut and immediately wanted to go to Minn or Chicago.I agree with alot of your points, but, every year folks claim their defense is great which it is ,to a point, you cant run on them, but, they can be thrown on.

That was the fun part of watching him, he'll break your heart, but then he'll make a last 2:00 drive to win the game, we have seen that many times too, but he is getting older and probably doesn't have much left in the tank. I just hope he doesn't get hurt too bad when Raji flattens him to the ground. I love Favre, but he is playing with enemy now(maybe) and all bets are off.

Scout.com is saying this; On the one hand, soaring players costs help limit the Packers to a $4 million profit last fiscal year. On the other hand, the difference between profit and loss was the cost of one free agent. Packer Report goes beyond the numbers to show the challenge of running a franchise and how both sides will use the data in the CBA talks.
Good post, Pro.

<quoted text>I would rather see the Pack play good teams, then we can measure up the competition and see how close we are to championship status. Teams with easy schedules usually fail in the playoffs. Tough to analyze schedules when there are teams that surprise us every year, that is why this is my favorite sport.
Agreed, but I wouldn't mind seeing them spread out a bit! We play BAL at home, then back to back road games in CHIC and PIT, SEATTLE home and finish at ARIZ! That's a tough stretch.

I've seen this posted twice now about Raji, the same Raji who has newer played a down on the NFL. Pretty optomistic outlook for a nose tackle much less a rookie, especially one learning and playing in a new scheme. He may be everything you thought you had when the Packers drafted him, but I always wait to make predictions until after I've at least seen them play at the highest level.

No different from peolpe who already have placed Harvin with the likes of Randy Moss everyone is always high on their #1 draft picks why when less than 25% actually do anything to even make an impact especially in the first season.

If you notice that in much of those tough games, those teams come the week after playing Pittsburg, so we caught a little break there. It's kind of odd, take a look at the other teams schedule and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Just excited to see this guy play, it's been a LONG time since a nose tackle was drafted in the top ten, that's is saying something about this kid.

and with He and Ryan Pickett on the line at the same time paired up with Cullen Jenkins, thats a pretty good 3 man line on paper, now you have to play to prove it,but, it looks pretty darn good.Pickett and Jenkins both proved to be good lineman although alot of the defense troubles last year started after Jenkins got injured,so,he is very valuable and durable.

What about Peterson? Wasn't he a rookie. What goes around comes around. Packers will have the vikings all screwed up with their new defense. I see now, the viking organization is starting to rid players to free up money for Favre. I am almost sure that the front office of the packers really don't care but Favre is crapping on the fans who made him wealthy. When he hears the boos when entering Lambeau on Nov. 1 he will realize that the die hard packer fans have moved on. He will cry but the fans get the last laugh. JMHO

Not this Viking fan, harvin will struggle like most WR in their first year. If he's to have any impact, it will be more on the PR and KR teams.

As far as learning a new defensive scheme and excelling at it in the first year, good luck with that. And just who have we rid recently to make room for Farve. If you are talking about Winfield, he's under contract to play this year. All other starters are under contract and none are holding out for more money that I'm aware off, but I did hear that Nick Collins was thinking of it. When and if Farve signs with the Vikings and hears boos at Lambeau, it will be a very good indication that the packer fans have not moved on and forgotten IMO.
