Nice CYA.

If you're going to reserve judgment on anything regarding Cutler it should be the fellows he will be throwing to. Without a better crew of pass catchers than the Bears had last season, nobody could come in and take the Bears to the next level.

Nice little central California town. |

Every one of the last three games the Broncos lost last year Cutler got the team an early lead to see it destroyed by defensive incompetence or special teams break downs. The Broncos even had the early lead in San Diego. Go look it up if you don't believe it. There isn't a QB in the NFL that doesn't throw more interceptions when playing from behind and having to force things to happen to stay in games.

All Bears / Bronco fans should take a wait a see approach to how this trade pans out. I personally see it as a win-win situation. Cutler need the coddling and manlove provided by the Bears fans, and orton needs coaching from McDaniels. Water seeks it own level. Both teams are improved. I wish denver played chicago this year. THAT would settle it all, Cutler would have a chance to put egg on the face of McDaniels, OR Orton can become the second coming of Christ and throw on water.
amen. |

Its gonna take a while before anybody can clean the mess Shanahanigan made of the donks and trading Cutler may have been the best thing. Orton might not be as good as JC but he's way ahead of Maurice Clarett. As a Bear fan stuck in pile-high I hope both teams do well this year

For the love of God, all this talk about Cutler is irrelevant because we don't have any wide receivers! This team isn't going anywhere this year, and it isn't Lovie Smith's fault, it won't be Cutler's fault, it will be Angelo's fault but since he got Cutler he'll be off the hook.

If I'm very good at my job and get a new boss and the first thing he does is try to replace me...I'm getting out of there ASAP as eventually he's going to succeed.
My problem with this type of thinking is that its simply setting Cutler up to fail...and the same talking heads will be claiming they were right when he hits bumps on the road (which he will). Overall...Cutler was brought in to be the franchise QB and he will be just that. Up until Denver started making some rather odd decisions, the only knock on Cutler was that he didn't keep up with his diabetes well enough and that was affecting his play. There were no problems with him in the locker room or on the field. Also keep in mind...Shanahan's firing was questionable at best. Its not often that a coach with a Super Bowl ring gets fired after a winning season. Yes, the defense was awful, but if you bring in a guy that wants to revamp the offense...then you're a moron. Just another reason for Cutler to want out. |
What are you talking about? I think Jay is a great Qb like I said. Mcdumass is to blame for Denver losing a franchise QB. And the Bears have a chance to win a superbowl now that they have him , so what the hell, I dont beleave any of the crap said about Jay. So next time you answer a comment get your story straight. Nobody loves Jay more than me!!!! |

I wonder what Dungy said about Manning's maturity after he called out his own coaches in front of the media?
So we should have gotten Boldin instead of Cutler? This isn't a one year deal. The WR position will figure itself out when it has a high-caliber QB throwing to it. Also, who knows what WRs will be available next year if what we have proves to be inadequate. |
I like it. This article says judgement should be reserved on Cutler. Bullshit. Judgement has been passed. He's a pro bowl stud. Deal with it. He's going to make it rain for Devin Hester, Olsen, Bennett, Rideau, or whichever guy decides to shine from our rookie crop. With Forte and Jones running behind that line, it really can't get too bad either way. Playoffs are a cinch and we should take care of the Eagles. It's a dynasty. Period. |
Diabetes is over-rated. It will have absolutely no effect on him. What's that???? Another surgery??? remove my head??? |
A cranial pop-up. |
The only thing that makes sense in your diatribe is the last word: "PERIOD" Cutler is a pussy on the rag. He throws a football about as accurate as he uses his applicator. If he is so special, how come the Bears beat him a couple of years ago? the only thing special about him is he shows up for work in a short-yellow bus |
Hey, Tard, you spelled your name wrong. |
Obviously you're not just stupid, but jealous of Cutler. What happened? Did the last woman you were with tell you that you should come out of the closet, because you couldn't satisfy a woman to save your own life? POOR YOU! Men aren't attracted to you and women aren't satisfied by you. So I guess you could go buy a blow up doll, at least then you won't have to hear how inept you are in bed any more. And you wont have to go online and trash talk just to make you feel better about yourself. |
Its all good. I like blow up dolls, they remind me of my Bears. Limp and lifeless.
I canmake you feel better about yourself...trust me!(Wink) |
Don't make me laugh!! As long as I have the Bears and the Bears have Jay I don't need a pretender to the thrown. But if you look like him then we can talk.(Wink) |

history lesson -
1969's 1-13 record was bad, but apparently was not bad enough. Their only win of the season had been against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who ironically also finished 1-13. In January, a coin toss was held to determine which team would pick first in the NFL draft. The prize in that draft was Louisana Tech quarterback Terry Bradshaw, who would be a welcome improvement to either of the clubs. Bear executive Ed McCaskey called the coin toss, held at a hotel in New Orleans, and lost. An unidentified Chicago sportswriter reportedly yelled out "McCaskey you bum, you can't even win a coin flip!" After losing out on Bradshaw, Chicago sent its #2 pick in the draft to Green Bay for three veteran players, none of which remained with the Bears for more than two seasons. ---- With Angelo's track record, let's hope history does not repeat itself !!! Terry Bradshaw was not great, but won! and we were a coin flip away ... WHO CARES ... WE GOT CUTLER BABY. and all you negitive about it ... talk to me at the end of the season; otherwise i don't want to hear your whinning. You are fool if you do not think after 4 seasons this guy will blossom in Chicago. HE does not need great WR. He needs a solid running game and our Defense to play to Chicago Standards. He has shown he can throw the ball. Let's be real here ... he is the brightest future this Franchise has had since Sweetness established himself in the College All-star Game in 1975. Come on ppl, we are 8-1 odds to win the SB. Las Vegas knows wassup. |
