Drew Brees should get the MVP award. It will be a nice consolation prize for Brees and the Saints. The Packers and their players don't need to win ALL of the trophies and awards.

In this case, a tie is more than justified. Congrats to Drew Brees on his incredible accomplishment, and our Aaron Rodgers for yet another incredible season!

Thanks, Wisconsin Sue, for acknowledging Drew's acomplishments this season...I share your view that a Brees/Rogers co-MVP decision is the right way to go.

I think Rodgers wins it quite easily. Nothing against Brees and the year he has had. But the main stat he has is YARDS. He has also had more ATTEMPTS than Rodgers has had. Of course we would never know how many yards Rodgers would have with equal attempts but if we base on this year’s stats it would be Rodgers with the upper hand. Brees averages 8 more ATT/game, and about 30 more yards/game Rodgers AVG 9,2yards/ATT. And completion % of 68,3% So if Rodgers had 8 more Attempts per game he would AVG 50 more yards /game (20 more than Brees) 8 games* 0,683%* 9,2 yards/game =+50,2 yards/game In total than Rodgers might have 5397 yards compared to Brees with 5087 yards, with # of pass ATTs. It’s all hypothetical of course but just saying.

It’s all hypothetical of course but just saying. This sounds like that ridiculous SOS argument you had with Eric in another forum. Jeez you even have Brees total yards wrong. WHO DAT TWO DAT

It’s all hypothetical of course but just saying. If it is all hypothetical, then why discuss it at all? You sure are trying to make a case for Rodgers as MVP. Of course, your man had a great season. But, as was mentioned above, let's not go overboard and give the Packers every prize that's given out. Brees legimately led the NFL in passing stats with a lesser team than yours, so he deserves the MVP. Period, end of paragraph and argument.

The MVP award should go to Drew Brees. He recently set the record for most passing yards. Aaron Rodger has done well but going 15-1 is a team effort. the Packers defense continues to struggle but Aaron Rodgers can enough points on the board to help them up. These are the best quarterbacks of today. I would have to go with Drew Brees. Aaron Rodgers is great but his achievement was more of a team effort. If the Flynn can go in there and set arecord then the team is helping the Packers going 15-1. Brees's individual achievement seems to be the hardest thing to do. Bress may have more passing attempts by why not throw the ball if it is working? The main goal of each season is to get to the Super Bowl and hopefully be crowned the NFL World Champions. #GBFail and His Dogs

There is no doubt the Packers can beat anybody with their backup players. Drew Brees may enjoy the MVP trophy as a nice consolation to the Lombardi Trophy. I wish him luck. He's going to need it. The one thing upon which EVERYBODY can agree is that no Steeler players will be winning. Ha ha!

The one thing upon which EVERYBODY can agree is that no Steeler players will be winning. Ha ha! The Steelers have nothing to do with the MVP award so why even bringing that up. Oh that's right, you failed again to insult anyone here. This is about Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. Stay on topic. It's hard to do that since you know that Drew Brees is getting the MVP award and has the team with a better defense than the Packers.

You can't go wrong in picking either Brees or Rodgers as MVP. They both deserve it but as you know probably only one will get it. 2 great years by 2 of the best 3 or 4 in the NFL. Personally, eventhough I am a Packers fan, it doesn't make a difference to me. All I know is that Rodgers led his team to a SB victory and a 15-1 season and are back in the playoffs with a chance to repeat. I sure wish your Steelers were healthy. After the Packers they have been my second favorite team for years. That will probably get me a little flak from the other Packers fans here but that's ok.
