Panthers Notebook: Carolina future uncertain for Jenkins
“Seven years is a long time, but I do like it here”
Although Carolina Panther defensive tackle Kris Jenkins is signed through 2009, he's not certain he wants to return next season -- or whether the Panthers want him back.
'I'm not that high up the totem pole to make my own decisions,' he said Wednesday.
Jenkins was a subject of trade discussions during last offseason, when he declined to participate in voluntary workouts here, choosing to condition at his Maryland home instead. Now, after a solid season, he's torn between the idea of staying and playing elsewhere. Read more

i think jenkins should and shouldnt worry about if the team wants him back. if you love the game of football you give it your all... i say if ya still got a fight in ya keep on rumbling aint nothin over till its over!!!!

I think that Jenkins has served this organization very well this year. He played his heart out this season. I think the Panthers owe another season to this dedicated player. He showed up when others decided to stay at home on Sunday's.He has out played Peppers this season.
