Our faith tells us he is in a better place. He was a lucky man. God allowed him time to discover he had a caring family and many, many friends.

My recollections of Earsell Macbee were when I was in high school from 1965-68. I have always been a "sports nut." I used to watch him on T.V. when he played for the "Purple People Eaters" Minnesota Vikings of Bud Grant. He was a tremendous player. He could do it all. I loved watching him play back then. My sincere condolences to his loving family. Vallejo(not Oakland) Glenn

I am sorry to hear of the loss of Earsell Mackbee. This journey I'm sure has been a difficult one of up's and downs! However, I think it is wonderful that his final wish was granted. I hope that Mr. Mackbee's final days were filled with comfort knowing that he was among family and was able to feel their love.

My heart is heavy; I thought he would make it through the rain. My Uncle Earsell lost his battle and past away yesterday afternoon. I was so pulling for him to make it through and return to us. He tried so hard to fight, but in the end pneumonia made the final tackle and brought him down for good! Thank you to all that made donations, said a prayer or a kind word. His brothers & sisters were at his bed side singing praise songs and giving him comfort in his final hour. He shed one last tear from his left eye as his spirit left this world. It's been a beautiful journey of family coming together and being on one accord. My Uncle left this world knowing w/o a doubt that he was loved. His memory will be forever cherished in our hearts

Condolences to the family and friends. I don't follow football, and thus wouldn't have known this man if I bumped into him at the market. But it was very moving a few days ago to witness on television as family gathered to provide support and love. When it's all said and done, it boils down to our loved ones and friends. So God Speed, Mr. Macbee. I'm glad you made it home. Be Blessed.

Hmmmm...there may be hope for you after all. |
