I guess you weren't paying attention all those late nights wtching game film, huh Sparano.

No one on this secondary should be retained.

So let me see if I got this straight...

The Cam-Mueller regime gets rid of Wes Welker and the Parcells-Ireland-Sparano Family gets rid of Zach...but we resign Michael Lehan for more than $1 mil per year!!!

No wonder this team is so void of talent...they keep getting rid of the team's best players and resign the nobodies!!!

I like this signing - Lehan played well. IMO He was the 2nd best CB on the squad after Will Allen.

This really shows:
1) Fins have so many holes they decided to extend contracts to avg players
2) This is the best bang for the buck vs Free Agents and Draft.

Everyone from the secondary sucked in 2007.

Maybe they were scared they would lose Lehan to the Pats. Or more likely to the CFL or Arena Football League.

Why? What exactly did he accomplish last year? Our corners and safeties were abused all year, except Will Allen and that was a fluke.

Who you gonna replace them with?? Trufant and Asomugha have been franchised which leaves Samuel as best CB in free agency. He's gonna want loads of money and there is no guarantee he would want to come play for a 1-15 team. Hamlin the safety in Dallas is a possibility if he does not get franchised.

You people on here make these proclamations like this is Fantasy football or Madden for your playstaion without considering all factors involved. Lehan is a good nickelback and Allen is a good #2 corner. If we can get a #1 in FA might have to try draft. Or just go with the Allen/Lehan combo OR just pick some other teams garbage.

Sarcasm right? 2nd best in a unit that sucked. Apparently Sparano and his gang see something I did not. Hopefully they are right.

Just wondering. What is Parcells to do? Get rid of the whole team and have all rookies and guys that aren't familiar with the system? Lehan is probably going to be a backup or rotated. In a lousy defense that put no pressure on the QB, there is just so much that you can do.

The DALLAS TRIANGLE (Tuna, Sparkey and Ireland)are getting rid of damaged goods and over-priced ones. Even though the Water Mammals are rebuilding, they still have to have bodies out there.

Let's be patient, see what happens with free agency, the draft and the pre-season. I knew the Phins were gonna suck after watching the preseason last year and the first 3 games of regular. Us fans will know exactly where the Phins are heading real soon. We must be patient.

Some of you are clueless. Lehan was the second best corner on the team last year and made huge plays and no mistakes. He was also an awesome special teams player on a terrible unit. That's where they will use him primarily, special teams and nickle back. You morons are hilarious,,calling Parcells dumb. HAHAHAHA, you will see in two years. Parcells is and always has been the man!

Dum you are dumb.

Ya, lets replace everyone?

There is not that much cap room, but if you go back and wacth the games "recorded all of them"
Then you would see, he is pretty good. But I just you can just turn on the "fansty draft" on your ps3 and pretend to know what you are talking about.

Again, people need understand this is not madden 2009, then let the people that are employed by the Dolphins make the choices, and go back to your day job.

You can't cut everyone on this team, or they would not have a full roaster.

Think Mcfly, think.

I whole heartedly agree. I guess PhinFans are reaching for that big red button Staples has, except ours reads PANIC. I think us fans, and yes we are frustrated, need to understand that we have a whole new system in place that is synergistic. All the pieces belong together and work well together. The top 3 positions are in sync, something that has not been around Dolphin camp in a while. In essence, the Phins have 2 headcoaches. I think the Phins will show dramatic improvements but they will still have growing pains.

Which means he would be cut on every other NFL team. This team had a bunch of Arena league players in the secondary. 2nd best CB means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
