I don't see any way this is going to turn out well for Vikings. While I think Pat and Kevin have a solid point about the league concealing the fact that it knew StarCaps contained a banned substance and didn't report that to the players, it's hard to imagine a state court ruling against the league, and not having that overturned on appeal.

Both the Williamses and the league bear some responsibility here. At this point, I'd prefer to see the league reduce the suspensions to two games and be done with it. The first four games, the Vikings can win at least three without the Wall; after that, it's going to hurt the team. This needs to be settled before September, one way or the other.

Ya but, if they can get out of it all together, why wouldn't you try? Remember, this isn't a steroids issue, its a meesly diuretic used frequently for weight loss. In my opinion, its lame that its compound is on the list to begin with. Isn't it worse to be overweight as an athelete? These guys work hard. It's not a shortcut. Lots of supplaments are used in pro sports. Singling this one out as a masking agent is just lazyness on the leagues part in thier testing. Its not even a good mask, it just makes you pee alot. But I do think the lcoal judge in this case is obviously a Vikings fan, as he should be. Cause in the end the league always gets its way. But they have a right to protect thier image. Go Vikes! Go Wall!!

I agree. The Wall is responsible for knowing wht they are ingesting...BUT...the NFL KNOWS that they DID NOT take steroids......So, the Wall SHOULD get SOME credit there.

I think BOTH sides should take SOME blame, and just be done with it.

Lesson learned....NOW LETS PLAY SOME FOOTBALL!!!

GO VIKINGS!

So, i guess if you play for the vikings in minnesota it's ok to do steriods. According to state law. I think it's kinda makes it unfair for the other teams that can't do steriods. 31 teams follow one rule, 1 team gets to make their own rules.

They didn't do steroids, idiot. Funny how Packer fans spend more time on here wishing ill will towards our team, than being optimistic about their own. Feeling a little unsecure, are we? Maybe reality is setting in?

They weren't steroids.
The league should drop the charges as there was no harm done and no roids used, and lets get on with the game at hand.

LOL, take that Roger the dodger.
Now to have the suspensions overruled will be the icing on the cake. Go strong arm another team, maybe green bush, they have a bunch of hoodlums on that team.

Instead of worrying about someone taking a diet pill. How about the commishion worry about the drunk drivers, gun toters and all the real problem players in the NFL, but I guess that would mean they would have to really do their job. It's just easier to worry aboout five guys taking diet pills.

40, I think it's going to be tough to beat the NFL and their bunch of high priced lawyers. Just being realistic here, but I think the best we can hope for is a reduction in their suspension.

They had an agreement for no suspensions and a high fine but the NFL players union wanted more say over the arbitration process NFL said no then the deal was off.

I in no way condone the use of performance enhancing drugs by professional athletes. However, this case is absolutely ridiculous. I'm sure the NFL has bigger fish to fry (no pun intended). I can't imagine why they're spending all their time and money on this case.

Because as I stated earlier that would mean they would have to do their job and this is just easier to attack. Wouldn't want to deal dog fighting, drunk driving, shooting or real drug problems lets deal with somebody taking diet pills.Sorry a moron named AVANT has got me a little fired up with his stupidity right now.

Yes to that, I'm just hoping for a one game suspension, but no more than two. If the WWC decide to fight any suspension, then the battle will be between the lawyers who don't advertise their price due to sticker shock.
A four game suspension would start a very promising season off on a bad note. I'm really in no mood to find out how good our defense is without the WWC.

We dont agree on everything Brett but I'm with you on this I just think they want the fine money, but I think the NFL's players union should pay fines also for not announcing the knowledge that starcaps contained a illegal substance, if they have the knowledge why not let everyone know unless your trying for entrapment of some sort, or just plain lazy.

Wow!........ummm, I don't even know what to say to that statement. I definately don't agree. And I would hope you weren't being serious....especially about the 6 year olds on steriods thing.....
wow, Dan.
