Farewell parties are a bit of a contradiction, aren't they? Sure, you get to celebrate with the guest of honor, but eventually, it's time to say goodbye to someone you love and admire.

I understand hte business, but I know the Ravens will be cutting the cap after this season. I wish AD would have been franchised so that we had one more year with this sick defense. He's rich anyway, so I don't care how much richer he is by leaving. He's going to a great team, I understand, but money is not the object in my eyes. He's got more already than any one of us can fathom. He wants to tap into Belichek, cuz the chance for a super bowl lies very close to that guy.

AD is a class act...humble & hardworking, both are rare traits in today's NFL. Good luck in Boston!(unless you play the Ravens of course)

Get over the fact that there is absolutely no loyalty from players. Don't ever expect any. These guys have been coddled since they were very young.Yes, it's a big loss for the Ravens and it's going to hurt.It may have been easier to take if we had not given the playoff game away to that team from Indy. That's the real loss here.

Thats why I stopped going to games. Giving these thugs millions to play a kids game a few times a year. Get out and get a real job for 30K a year. Get a life. Hey fans, here is some advice. STOP GOING TO THE GAMES AND THESE PEOPLE WILL NO LONGE MAKE 160 MILLION DOLLARS TO RUN AND CATCH A BALL.

we're obviously looking forward to having AD, and glad he comes from such a solid organization...we'll lose our share of FAs in the coming years as well.

btw, still bitter you guys didnt beat the colts. I would have been fine losing to the Ravens and seeing you win another SB. Here's to kicking the crap out of Manning & Co next year.

What happened to the player Brad Jackson? I think you mean Jarret Johnson which is very capable player with some versatility(DE/OLB). He resigned with the Ravens so now we have him and Dan Cody to fight for that spot.

What a jackass - greedy jerk??? I love all these idiots that post about players being greedy. Of course they are ,just like the rest of us. It's a job and a business. Players come and go. And if he tore his ACL and couldn't play anymore, what then. Think they'll still pay him. Who here wouldn't take all that money if offered. If someone offered you twice what you make now for the same job, you'd be long gone. Be real. Hypocrites.

Actually, Brad Jackson was at AD's party last night but no longer plays for the Ravens. He retired/was cut a couple of years ago. Why no party for Jamal? Because you're comparing apples and oranges. Jamal was a champion on the field but pretty absent off the field without the same respect for the fans that AD had.

AD will help the Pats. Their new receivers for Brady to throw to make them very scary. As far as this goes in helping the RAVENS will be to end all that talk about being the most ATHLETIC defense in the league. Now the RAVENS can go back to being the defense that wins SUPERBOWLS. Like in 2000. The one that BEATS PEOPLE UP.

Where is the SuperBowl team? Oh..you mean back in 2000? Ozzie decided to get McGahee instead of keeping Thomas - blame him, not Thomas. The NFL is a business - get used to it.
