Hi Lady Eleanor
We are expecting 1 to 2 inches of snow tonight.. and then tomorrow they are saying rain mixed with snow...
It's a very gray day here in the valley.. It started off with a bright sunrise then it just faded...
We have 37 degrees right now.. so not freezing completley... thank goodness..
I hope that you are staying warm and cozy...
Sending you warm wishes...

Hi Dear Rose, quite amazing how the weather varies State to State, do watch out for any ice could result from the rain mixing with the snow, well, you know that already, but be very careful.
The mist here barely rose all day, very damp, in fact I was looking for one of my garden dwarfs, lol, the one called Norman, and the reason I couldn't see him, he is covered in moss. That tells you how much rain we get here!....:)
Calling it a night now, so will wish you a very Good Night, but you
have your evening ahead, enjoy.
Love to you and to the chi-pups....

Apparently you have to split their tongue...ghastly thought, I didn't know that when I mentioned it as I rescued a Jackdaw many years ago when visiting a stately home, it had fallen out of it's nest and was at risk of the terriers killing it, I caught it, took it home, he had a damaged wing so I could not release him, eventually took him to a chap who had an aviary and other similar birds, somem of which he had taught to speak. This is not the best example, but quite sweet.

<quoted text>I may have had something similar occur for me ... I had back troubles throughout my teens, no doubt helped along by the trials of my athletic endevours and a few mishaps ... but I also learned when I was about 19 that I had two lower vertebrae that were not 100% the proper shape ... and so the wear and tear had caused part of the trouble in that region.
However, I have been nearly trouble free since my mid 20;s ... I suspect that the two vertebrae are fused so the is no longer movement between them and pinching of nerves by them, etc ... this despite a small bulfge that I can feel with my hand ...
SO, as long as I don't have a major mishap in that region I may be relatively good in terms of back pain as I age ...
That's good to hear, Franko ... just try and be careful and don't hurt yourself ... I've heard that something as innocent as a sneeze can't set one back in the lower back or neck region ... good luck in that respect as well ... have a nice evening! FC <3 ...

It's wonderful news Flower, you have worked hard to accomplish this, I know, and it has paid off, I really am delighted for you,
I am sure your Consultant is. Great to know you don't need more surgery. We have both been lucky in that respect recently, so I know the relief you are feeling.
You had rain? It's all good news, the third bit of good news today.
I will even forgive you for having such lovely temps when we are freezing here. LOL
No football? Bummer. Another biggie here on Thursday, yippee!
Have a lovely afternoon/evening. Much love to you, Elx
Thank you for the good wishes, Lady El ... and the same to you ... it was 64 today & sunny ... supposed to be rainy and 74 tomorrow ... pretty nice wx for sure ... hope you are enjoying your evening and that you have a peaceful nights rest ... Love, FC <3 ...

<quoted text>I personally also feel it is an artificial event that forces us to respond as per someone else's customs ... as {P says "a commercial day" .....

For me, if it was "not my idea" it does not feel like I am doing it sincerely, but rather by peer pressure.

HOwever, I have always made an effort to observe it because once the scenario is created, there are now expectations and it is not wise to dissapoint ....

Certain businesses, such as restaraunts, consider this one of their biggest days of the year ...

Flower shops wish it was Valentine's every week ...
Alas Dear Franko, Valentine's Day started, like Christmas, started out as an actual Christian holy day until Hallmark, Fannie May chocolates and FTD florist bastardized it fir sake of profit. Now Sweetest Day.......THAT us most definitely an artificial holiday created purely for the sake of separating people from their hard earned money!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day friends!
