Wouldn't the security software protect against this? I get messages from the spyware I have that "bad website" trying to gain access and then I can select "block". I agree topix you don't want to go on this site without the protection installed on your PC.

This does happen and hopefully topix will get enough pressure to get better at preventing what is posted on the site. Or better controls like requiring to register and somehow monitor activity more frequently.

I am sorry people get hurt, people need to be aware that a public forum invites all kinds of nuts. Topix should probably put up a disclaimer that says you are opening yourself up for ridicule and attack.

topix- its in there interest to have the fighting, it increases posts and revenue from ads

icons- no mater haw many positives appear more neg, will over ride

why do you think my and others count on neg. goes so high

Hey Bex, I agree with a lot of what you said but I feel Topix has a responsibility for their site and that they should be auditing and making new changes based on what is going on here. I haven't seen any Topix make any attempt to upgrade to implement anything to help the nasty, trolling that goes on except for the standard "report" the post. It would be nice to see them actually really take an interest in fixing the problem. But they are getting what they want and that is hits to the site so probably won't change.:(

yep and here we are still posting on the site. I agree the only way they would care is if it actually impacted the hits to the site. Which we know that isn't going to happen. I think it will have to be outside help to force Topix to do something but that I don't see happening anytime soon.
