I saw this story on the news last night. Two of the tickets totaled approx 3000.00 and one the next day was over 1000.00. The guy said he'll keep playing the lottery and give any money won to the church until their mortgage is paid off. While the church didn't condone playing the lottery, they said that any donations are a blessing! Priceless!

Never question the church, we are working for God.
Gambling is not condoned, but when it benefits the church it is OK....as it is Gods will. Just like adultry.

I know what your are saying HIP CHICK.. Any monies is welcomed .... but still I sometimes think......If you steal an apple and I help you eat it.. Am I guilty as well>????
'
You know? I mean... I am not trying to start anything here but.. God moves in mysterious ways I guess. I am playing the lotto.. and Dear God,, I promise to give it (almost) all to the uh,,church?? I have people's around here and there that cold use a few extra bucks., I believe more in giving straight to the persons in need. whether they have lost their way or whatever. Even if an old drunk comes up and asks for a few bucks , shakingly, I will go buy him a bottle of wine.. That might be wrong to some people. But I try not to judge the person because I do not know what that person has been going through to arrive at this pitiful condition.. ANd yes,, there are a few good churches out there who help the lost with bills, food, clothing, shelter etc... May God bless them in their sincere efforts...

Just one rule I try to learn and teach if possible. "DO NOT LET THE RIGHT HAND KNOW WHAT THE LEFT HAND IS DOING" Do your alms in secret.. that way your FATHER which seeth in secret will reward you openly.... Seems to be the way.. I reckon..
'
WTF?? hahahah.. Peace to you darlin.

So Fr. Has your church had the summer carnival yet? You know the one with the basement BINGO, the roulette wheel, the poker games? Hhahahaha…It’s only a sin 360 days a year. I personally love the churches casino.
