Gay rights activists and other supporters of marriage equality plan a national "Kiss In" at Chick-fil-A restaurants Friday to protest the fast-food chain owners' opposition to same-sex unions, two days after gay marriage foes delivered the chain a one-day sales record.

I don't care. I prefer to eat at establishments that don't give thousands of dollars to anti-gay hate groups. Don't tell me you'll serve me with "dignity" while working toward my demise.

Enjoy your meal.

Hardly: you had brought up Suprem Court decisions and taled about how one vote can make the difference and "what will I say then?"

My answer underscores that just becaus SCOTUS rules one way...even by a significant margin (7/2) dosent mean the controversey stops,.or the topic is settled.

You have a real problem following any point that is not carefully laid out for you; it would seem.

Dont worry..my example above will very likly be one that will be neccesary to inspire your side, not mine.

Of course we would qualify, unless you'd support a two-tier class system.
Those benefits include:
Social Security Benefits
Tax Benefits
Estate Tax and Tax Planning Benefits
Veteran and Military Benefits
Federal Employment Benefits
Immigration Benefits

Your correlation to taxation of the rich only underscores my point. LBGT people are paying our fair share of taxes, but we're not entitled to the same benefits. So, in a very real sense, I'm paying for YOUR benefits; benefits to which I am not entitled. Doesn't that seem two-tier?
Don't get smart assed in your replies.

I agree, gays should be treated equally and be allowed the same benefits as a hetero married couple does. Again, what part of that are you not understanding. Or, are you just wanting to argue just to argue....

There are states that do recognize civil unions and domestic partners. I do not think we need more govt in our personal affairs.

No, I would not support a two tier system. We all should equally be on the same system of benefits and privileges in what we pay into and as far as decision making in the event of a hetero or gay spouse becoming incapacitated and unable to make decisions for themselves.

Personally, I think the gay community should let go of trying to redefine a marriage is between a man and woman, stick with their civil union and be given the same rights a "traditional marriage" between a man and woman affords them.. As that is the real issue and goal the gay community is seeking, isn't it? To have their civil union recognized and given the same rights as a hetero married couple.... I do not think, civil unions require to be put on the ballot for a vote or for a govt to vote either..

Yeah, we tend to do that when treated with condescension.
<quoted text>
I have not condescended you or others.

It is human nature to retort back and defend oneself. I get that as well as support it... But to start off in defense mode and accuse prematurely is uncalled for not to mention nonproductive as not everyone is tolerant or patient when approached in such a manner.. Yes, I know, it goes both ways, but not always...

What counts most, was his message understood?

I understood what he was saying. We all make typos, misspell, make grammatical errors. Pointing them out is nothing more than a superior complex with the intent to ridicule.

For example, look how you spelled, "spell" It's not spelled, "spall". You forgot to put an apostrophe on "cant" and an "s" on mean. I understood what you were saying.

How would you know if it was spelled correctly or not, if you do not understand the meaning of it?

Haters are gonna hate, Jon.
You can't possibly change an attitude from the Middle Ages.
"Lest they throw the first stone those without sin."
The problem lies more in falsely accusing people of being hater's when in fact they are not..

There are many things that each and everyone of us do not accept about something in society and this world for that matter. Not everyone is going to agree or accept things and in this case, a gay lifestyle. Non-acceptance does not equate to hate.

The same could be said about gays. They hate heterosexuals.
Both parties need to take their minds out of the bedroom of the other and just focus on civil rights and equality to each group.
That is the issue of importance....

Equality for everyone. Special treatment to no one...

You simply cannot force people to accept gay lifestyles.
They have the same equal rights that you do, in not accepting their heterosexual lifestyle...

And if you are gonna call them haters, you then have to be accepting to be called a hater back...

Why doesn't anyone in the back community and Al Sharpton care about he teen that was killed two weeks ago? Is her life less important than Trayvon's? Is it because it was a black on black crime and Sharpton cant do his usual racist act? Is Sharpton afraid to hold blacks to the same standard he demands from whites?
Why does Al and his posse care? Where is the fight for justice for this teen?
It is the al sharpton's that keep racism and hate alive in This Country. We are turning into a lawless Country because of the al sharpton's.. Murder use to be shocking.. It no longer is, It has unfortunately become a part of every day life, with mass shooting being the new fad.

There is soooo much wrong with relationships today. Women/girls have no morals. They routinely have 3 children by age 20. In most cases without marriage.
Guys think, "why buy the cow if I'm getting the milk free". Which is no better.
It's all considered normal now.
What a shame. When people actually get married, there is a greater than 50% divorce rate.
Personally, I think the government needs to get out of the marriage business. It turned out much better when the church regulated it.

I agree with you one hundred percent..
People need to get back to taking responsibility and being held accountable... Prenuptials? That kind of thought process prior to taking their I do's is still a foreign concept to me, even in today's life.. There should be no "what ifs". Fair is fair and whoever is the bread winner, they owe the other a means of a sustainable lifestyle they were use to if they end up in divorce.. I support marriage over divorce and working things out. If unable to do so, make it an amicable divorce...

Now, keep in mind, if divorce is a result of infidelity? Take the guy to the bank, or kick the b*tch to the curb... Whoever the guilty party is...

It's not the brown shirts, they are the ones attacking a business because they object to the political speech of the CEO. We defend free speech, even when we disagree with the content.

Well, the reason why we care is- using Hitler as an example- he didn't come right out and say he was going to put people in concentration camps, murder some and work the others to death. Now that we know he did and that he went to great lengths to hide that even AFTER he seized power and thought he had total control, we have to be on guard against such things happening again and that means closely watching certain people. If a guy is gonna get all Old Testament about one thing, he may just get all Old Testament about another. Better safe than sorry.
Hitler didn't justify his hatred with the Old Testament; he was a socialist.

Hitler wrote about his plans for the Jews in Mein Kampf, he didn't make a secret of his violence and hatred.
