Anyone purchasing a handgun, whether a man or a woman, should only do so after they've had the opportunity to actually shoot a number of different guns available from several different manufacturers. They should shoot and reload automatics as well as revolvers and in several calibers.

“Color is not an issue.” Do you know any women at all; no offence meant but seriously just think of all the different shades of pink. Yes, it is a sales gimmick, just like shoes. You’ve held the saying “If the shoe fits buy it in every color”. Who knows maybe the next sales line will be “ If the caliber is right, buy it in every color.
This is the only method that will determine what you are most comfortable with, can handle safely, can shoot accurately and reload quickly.
A person is much better off owning a .22 caliber gun that they can hit their target with than some .357 or .44 hand cannon that flies out of their hand and hits them in the head after the first shot.
Color is not an issue to be concerned with. The safe handling, loading and your personal accuracy in hitting the intended target on a consistent basis are the goals that need to be considered when shopping for a handgun.
As a side note, I think it would be great if all gun toting criminals had bright pink or orange handguns. They would be a lot easier to spot in the dark!

Does they mean guns just for colored people? Well, we like to be Afrikan Amerikans nows, and since we will be in the majority real soon, as long as we keep having babies in our teens, you people need to just get a grip!

As my wife said when she saw a cute pink handgun,
"Why would I want a gun that would make someone even think for an instant that it might be a toy? I'm already a woman holding a gun which lends some doubt about whether I can use it or not. So if a drugged-up potential assailant is looking at me pointing a pink gun at him, I'm probably going to have to actually shoot him to convince him that I am not the victim he's looking for."
Right now we're happy with our shotgun for home defense, but I do want to get her a handgun to carry when she's out of the house. It won't be pink though. It will be a very big, very serious-looking piece of business that when pointed at you lets you know without uncertainty that you are on the wrong end of it and should find another place to be as quickly as possible without making any sudden moves or loud noises.

Applause to you and your wife, in my opinion a gun has one purpose and only one and it is not to make a fashion statement. I have a handgun but my wife does not, mainly cause she does not believe she could pull the trigger if needed, so she refuses to have one. I would suggest a gun handling and self-defense class designed just for women, I know several ladies who have taken them and found it better than the basic gun training classes.

I am 22 years old. My husband is a hunter and I am just getting in to the gun thing.. I have a 12GA and just got my own 20GA. I have practiced and am really getting into it. Now my husband leaves out of town for hunting sometimes and we are getting me the pink 9mm. Now I love pink and this is a way for me to get into it just as much as he is. To make our marriage work I am branchig out to his interest and having colored items that gives me choices and I think its a great idea. Plus as long as your safe and know what the heck your doing..... Then things r good... Maybe a lot of men r scared b/c hunting is not just a guy thing and excuse to go drink beer and now the women can supply the meat...

Rumor has it they are considering adding a feature to the pink hand guns that have a barrel length of six inches or more,,,,

An extra $50.00 and the manufacturer will install a small unbalanced motor under the hand grips which allows the owner to use the gun barrel as a vibrator!

It is of course suggested that owners check to see that the weapon is unloaded before getting too intimate with their pink gun/adult toy.
They also recommend ordering the removable front site or at least the non-serrated version.
Classes are being offered to teach both gun handling/safety as well as gun barrel bonking.

Cleaning kit may not be a bad investment either!

Ok the guns may be pink, blue or even red. The lead that comes out is still the same color.

I grew up in a part of the country where hunting was second nature. Guns were always around and used often for sport. I am not a stranger to them at all, but I never purchased a gun for self protection until I moved to Florida. Now I carry everywhere. Just to keep on topic, most of mine are black. Black is a color isnt it?

No, eventually someone will come up with the fabulous idea of designer bullets.
