If memory serves me.....go up to the upper right hand corner under the graybox labled "OFFBEAT" and there should be some points to be had in the entries thereunder.....

We have had no rain to speak of since April, and that wasn't much. I don't know how many days we had 100+ days. I won't even mention the heat index.
It is usually hot/dry here in the Summer, but the past 2 years have been abnormal. And the year before that we got about 6 inches of rain per week all through the Summer. WTF?
Somethin's up...I won't get into the Global Warming argument, but the weather has changed. Rumor has it, THIS will be the new "normal".
I like Arizona, but if I wanted to live there, I'd move there....
Same here as far as crazy weather patterns.
The only good thing I can say about it is
fire season shouldn't be bad ..

Good evening everyone. I am new to this thread. Sounds like a very nice thread.
Old Sam I lived in Arizona for 25 years and couldn't wait to leave and get back to the 4 seasons and the beautiful green grass and trees. Oh, forgot I wanted to get away from the 122 degree temperature too. lol
Yeah.........but it's a dry heat;) lol

Once you figure this out, you can explore the sidebar of other sites where the game is 'played'.

Batesville, AR and Utica, NY come to mind. I'll try to remember some more....

After living 25 years there I have heard all the hype about the "Dry Heat" Dang in the summer there was monsoon and it was humid just like in the mid west lol. Rain everyday sometimes.
The dust storms were the worst second to the heat lol.

I draw the line at dust storms.
I can take the heat, rain, ice, snow and
even had to endure the aftermath of
what us mountain ppl called tornados but
local weathermen called "duracho"...
what ever the hell that is. lol

I liked them just fine until the big storm
on June 29th.
It knocked out our entire power grid. We
were w/o power, water and telephone until
the 9th of July.
Worst 2 weeks of my life since the heat was
over 105 during the entire time. lol

I would like to start this thread for those of us that would really like to meet some of the people here.Even if you don't want to meet every body we can all still meet. After all if you did not like anyone on here you would not be here. So you can just hang out with them. And before you know it we will all be friends and we will not have all the fuss. I talking a party. I had a Guy that said Las Vagas would be a good place to meet it's the best flight for the U.K. and it should be pretty cheap from anywhere in the us. As long as we book in advance.
Hello,

My name is Patricia. I browsed (scrolled) through entire thread to see whether or not I had popped in before. Doesn't appear so, but I may have and it just magically disappeared. Or I may have been intimidated to a point I didn't dare drop in. Regardless...

As a good number know I am formerly known as Alias - Trish. teehee?

I'd like to try something different, as I am no longer new.
May I join in and please feel free to spell out any instructions that may entitle me to continue to visit this thread.

I like storms until they start blowin' peoples houses down, flooding entire communities, with hailstones beating the roof off of houses, trashing cars, killing livestock. Lighting storms setting entire forests on fire. Then there are the icestorms. Snowstorms. Duststorms. I've seen enough of all those.

So, yeah. I LOVE storms.

Just not those I mentioned.

Dang, a storm litterally is sweeping through my neighborhood at this very moment. It's lovely, the sun still wants to shine through, but it will not. Sky is very white and rain is pouring down steady and into my front door. I do not care - it feels delicious.

Old Sam are you disgruntled with me as well. I meant no offense. I just got a bit nuts and my PM's were so hate filled and then....

No offense, I enjoyed your few words to me. Peace regardless.

HI Arctic, I read about those on line. That was a bad time for a lot of people.

When I lived at home we used to get nor'easters. I loved them and I still do. We were and are prepared for them so when our power is out we are ok. No TV but lots of family time. Lots of snow and lots of fun for the kids. no school and all.

That is something that we expect and we can prepare for, nothing
like the storms you and Sam talked about.
No one could enjoy them.
