please cite a credible news source. The National Enquirer is more reliable than this left wing dribble, and they have naked pictures of Elvis at a 7-11 in St. Louis.

Remember...It was the GOP that picked the place for the convention. Why they would pick hurricane alley, at this time, is beyond me. If this is an example of republican planning we're all in big trouble. Yikes...
So, then, no city on the gulf coast, or the east coast, or even the west coast with their earthquakes, should ever be entitled to hold such an important event? And then there's tornado alley for the central states. And then flooding due to storms could be anywhere!! Ludicrous.

Since FL hasn't been hit by a hurricane in more than 5 years and they hold a good number of electoral votes, I think it was the perfect place for the RNC.

There are many credible news sources carrying the story. Do your own research then show me a site that says it didn't happen.... that the miners weren't forced to take a day off without pay. The representative for the coal mine owners himself acknowledges the story. The source of the story is the miners themselves.

Murray Energy Chief Financial Officer Rob Moore said this....

"There were no workers that were forced to attend the event,” Moore said.“We had managers that communicated to our work force that the attendance at the Romney event was mandatory, but no one was forced to attend the event."

Humm wonder what the choice was? I wonder if Mr. Moore understands the definition of MANDATORY?

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mandat...

When all else fails attack the source...but that only works if you have a credible source that says it never happened. You don't

BTW.. there is the radio station that reported this story at the bottom of the page....sort of like what Rush Limbaugh does only this guy doesn't make things up. He's reporting exactly what the miners are telling him.

Tampa was a wise choice. Cheney, sitting in the HAARP control center in Montana, directed Isaac on a rain soaked path through the Gulf to wash all the left wing rent-a-mob vermin from the streets. His final touch will be multiple rainbows over the convention center during Romney's acceptance speech. Good job Richard!

Your tongue-in-cheek comment related to your first paragraph and had nothing to do with your second. Yikes, indeed. The way you worded it is such that you believe it -- if you don't, then you worded it badly. Yikes yourself.

Ron Paul is carrying the story. Are you saying Ron Paul isn't credible? Do you think he'd use this story if it wasn't credible and risk damaging his credibility? You still don't get the nature of debate. I have provided a credible source which you have yet to disprove. You have provided nothing. Get back to me when you have something besides BS to contribute to this thread.

"Records compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics show that Murray Energy has contributed more than $900,000 to Republican candidates in the last two years."

I wonder how much of that was stolen.....errr...contributed by the employees?

Dude...

Just admit that you're a communist and that you're going to vote for ObaMao. It'll take the world off your shoulders, comrade. I won't tell anyone that Fairyman's voting for him too. That might make you look bad, since Fairyman's a blithering idiot the likes of Joseph Hussein O'Biden...

Huh, so there's no chance the Secret Service shut down the mines because mines are known to use high explosives? OK, whatever.

How about the small business owner whom Obama forced to eat $25,000 when he visited town? http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theov...

But Chris Maloney, a Romney campaign spokesman, said in an email,“It was Murray Energy’s decision to close the Century Mine, not the campaign’s or the Secret Service.”

The controversy surrounding Romney’s visit to the mine stems from a group of coal miners telling a West Virginia radio station that they would not be paid the day of Romney’s visit and that attendance would be mandatory. A Murray company official told the same radio station on Monday that managers “communicated to our workforce that the attendance at the Romney event was mandatory, but no one was forced to attend”– according to a report this morning in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Murray disputed the mandatory attendance order this morning and said the miners were paid “ for the time they were underground” that day. The shift began at 6 a.m. that morning and the miners emerged around 11 a.m. The mine was re-opened for second shift at 4 p.m.

“They were all there voluntarily. They could’ve gone home,” Murray said.“You don’t pay people to voluntarily go to a political event. If I would’ve paid them you would be saying you want it the other way. This is all a bunch of nonsense.”
