It doesn't say whether the pub was a "mom & pop" type or part of a chain.

Between the drugs and the drink, the guy, at least, was pretty well oiled.

Oh my goodness, this "chain" of events is interesting.
I believe he may be the missing "link".
It is possible it could have been something else, but the video to me was a bit "choppy"!

He was probably trying to get to the condiments to prove he could cut the mustard.
