We went to the Cook Islands for 10 days a few years ago. Very very cool. Rented a little 125 scooter to tool around the island with for $50 the entire time we were there. Went marlin fishing, diving, horseback riding.

It was rather interesting to kayak out to an uninhabited island and know that you were the only people standing on a land mass completely surrounded by the south Pacific ocean.

It was afantastic trip made better by the fact that Raratonga wasn't all touristy.

Years ago a buddy of mine and I went to a beach on the west coast of Turkey. When we first got there we made a huge pile of sand, near our towels, and stuck a little American flag on top. It was cloudy and a little cool. About 1 hour after, these two young ladies showed up and plopped down beside us. All of a sudden the sky cleared up and turned into perfect weather for swimming. We ended up chatting and flirting with the girls and our spot on the beach was the place to be! Seemed like everyone wanted to be near us that day! Fun to be an American in a forign country sometimes!

Florida....Disney area.....When my daughter was 7 years old I took her by myself (wifey had to work) to Orlando for 10 days, 7 day pass at Disny......We did whatever we wanted to do.....So laid back and free, no hassles. Went to the everglades, did the airboat ride/tour......

Also enjoyed going to Costa Rica back in 1995, very laid back and relaxing......

France / Switzerland / Italy

France/Switzerland - Private ski instructors for my friend and I - cute as hell and actually learned to ski

Italy - Dinner in the alps, cats at the windows and the waiters would feed them leftovers -

Switzerland they ran out of cheese and walked across the street to the cheese stand - nothing else for miles except mountains. The kids waited at their bus stops with skis. It was all so magical.

I have friends who go to Costa RIca every couple of years. They love it and have intentions on retiring there someday. I'd like to make the trip myself sometime.

Turkey? A former coworker of mine was stationed there back in the early 60s when he was in the air force. He loved it. He's a history buff and that's one thing there's no shortage of in that part of the world.

That is exactly hw I ended up there! Definaty aot of history from the Virgin Mary (I've been ain her home), to John the Baptist. Also the Sofia Mosque in Istanbul. It is now a museum and was not only an Islamic place of worship but first was Christian and still has fresco's of christian dipictions on the walls.

we've been to a caravan park on the south coast of England a few times. we went there because we could take the dogs. it was beautiful - open spaces of rolling hills and valleys, a few farms nearby, the beach just down the cliff. so unspoilt, so much nature of wild flowers and birds. as well as sheep. very few people about even at the height of summer. it was dunscombe seaton - nearest town sidmouth. unfortunatly the pariticular park we stayed at closed as there is starting to be coastal erosion. such an amazing feeling to be on a hill looking out at the sea, then turn and look out at distant hills, no civilisation in sight and yet it's just a walk away

Went to Carson City, Nevada for a week, with my Aunt and Uncle to visit my parents, gamble, check out the eats, check out the sights, sounds, and breathtaking scenic views, gamble, went to a live show in Reno, Lake Tahoe, Virginia City, toured a mine, seen a ghost town of the old west, gamble, seen the Mustang Ranch from the rodeway, visited numerous sights and small townships, the Bonanza homestead, Ponderosa, had a great time, didn't hit any jackpots and came back with about same amount I had when I got back home...1993

My wife and I took a cruise down the west coast of Mexico. While we were in port in Puerto Vallarta we took a sunset sailboat trip in the bay. The weather was perfect, the people great and plenty of fresh guacamole and margaritas. The whole cruise was great but that night on the sailboat will always be one of our favorite memories.

we've done several cruises and by far the most favorite was Europe - saw Italy, France, Spain, turkey, Greece. and the most memorable places we visit were Ephesus, Pompeii and Montserrat (wow that one was like a religious experience)
been to other places too, like mexico and different place in the caribbean. and we still have a few other places that we definitely want to see before he retires..

hopefully.. and God willing.

i cant believe how lucky we've been to have done these things, never in my wildest dreams did i think this would happen.

a 5 day cruise on a tall ship – two masted sailing ship – operated by Barefoot Cruises! casual dress all the time, I lived in my bikini until the evening chill hit every day. They let you help sail the ship if you want to, or you can just sit with a tourist drink in a deck chair and watch the hunky sailors in their Speedo's working the ship. food was great but not fancy, and the cabins were smallish but who cares – you're in there only to sleep or be with a new friend you made on board. It was a fantastic time!

1976-- Year of the Bicentennial, went to Washington DC. Went to the White House, did the tour through it. Lincoln Memorial, Washington Memorial, Arlington National Cemetary-- saw the changing of the guard, the Tomb of the Unknown, and the Eternal flame lit at the head of JFK's gravesite. Rows upon rows of headstones...
Went to the Department of the Treasury to see how money was made--very cool btw. Drove by Capital Hill and the Pentagon...and waited for hours in gas lines. Got lost and spent at least two hours going around and around on Glebe Rd.

Ten years ago I went down to Texas to visit my sis who was livin' there at the time. I had an absolute blast. Doesn't sound like much, but it was one of those vacations that had no structure, no worries. Perfect!

I envy you! Cruising the Med has been on my so-called "bucket list" for many years. I NEED to experience that history. Need to stand in the shadow of Vesuvius and walk among the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Stand where the 300 Spartans fell. ANd breath in the smell of ancient Thera.

Goa has always been my favourite vacation spot and I want to eventually retire there.

But sometimes the best vacations were camping out in the backyard with the kids.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Leo

Today's Full Moon will affect your love life significantly during the next few months. You might have to say goodbye to someone you care about, or you may realize some difficult truths about your relationship. You may also have to make a tricky decision about a child or a creative project. Although this won't be a very easy time, don't make it worse by over-reacting and turning every hitch into a major drama.
