I can kind of 'see' from the outside what you are talking about,
that's why I 'feel' for you and why I've often written here.
you are on my mind.

Not only that but, I also fully realise the same kind of thing
that struck 'you' and 'Skipper' could as easily strike ANY ONE OF US,
any time.. any day!
I am keenly conscious of that and appreciate each day to the very fullest measure.
knowing also that whatever is sent our way,
we must take .. and cope with it..
and fit it in to the great scheme of things,
we all have come through the 'ups and downs' of life,
we may not always specify them here,
and sometimes I feel folks would be amazed to know
all our FULL real life stories..

Sometimes, the silver lining of these things is..
they give one a strength to continue on, against the odds!

Having said all that some cope better than others, no blame to those who cope less,
it is different for all of us, our personal histories, backgrounds etc.

but YOU are a great example of one who faced adversity and came back smiling,
and with an attitude..'Well, I'll make the best of it' and that's what you did..
same can be said of Skipper..
For all the talk of trolling and agro on Offbeat,
there are some wonderful people here too,
life always offers a balance.

Gotta admit though. I am trying to learn-earn patience. and trying to be less and less STRESS... Some times it is hard to do. Especially around this He77 hole of a place.. But I am slow-ly getting there... or so I do hope and think.

The Witness

There it was right in front
hidden for so long
by the summer green
with branches from aortal trunk
to touch the sky and keep it stong
and I a witness to what I've never seen

the wind now passes almost through
nary a rustle to hold my ear
almost lonely in the breeze
with bark that holds the morning dew
from every branch a single tear
awaiting frozen seas

I thought of you
my humble friend
and made myself late in the awe
the winter sky is almost true
the autumn leaves have reached their end
so I go now to grab my SAW...!!!!!!

The joke teller, would just get on stage, and say a certain number, and all the other comedians would remember the numbered joke and bust up laughing.... Saved time..

So, one of MY KIN stumbled in there and did'nt realize what they were doing... My KIN got on on stage and yelled out.. "37!" the crowd just looked at each other. Kinda in embarrassment for my Kin.. He said again,,,,"#37!"----- ---No Laughs
