Okay, just talked to My Brother Duh and he said it was okay to tell everyone what's going on. He went into the hospital to have a couple stents put in, but because of the location of blockages and discovery of yet another, he's going to undergo heart bypass surgery, a triple. He'll be prepped at 10-11 pm and under the knife about 1 or 1:30a.m. for a couple hours.(Maria thought he said tomorrow, so my timing might be off, but he was pretty tired from today and a little hard to understand. Maria does southern waybetter than me, lol! Those who've talked to duh on the phone understand. Me and my cwoffee.)
Those of you who have undergone this know what he's going to be going through, maybe you've had relatives do the same. Fortunately, since my days in pharmacy, this has become commonplace and relatively safe surgery, as far as heart surgery goes.
Lady Retta is fine, taken care of, with a sister on hand and a couple neighbors and duh's son checking in. She's probably a wreck, of course, as I am and maybe you are as well over this, but sounds good and very brave. Special prayers for the next few days folks, he's gonna be in for about a week.
Already joking about sponge baths, and I suggested having the doctors splice a couple new arteries into Mr Winkie so he'll have something to do with his new found energy after the surgery. If he can swing that deal, you know he will.

LOL, if I can laugh at the way he talks, he can laugh at my Missouri accent! It's fun to call home and put on my New Yawk accent for mom, she always did love having cwoffee in the morning with me. LOL!

Thanks for the update Opis...after seeing this thread I checked my "Duh-mail" and he had left me a message about it a few days ago.
My grandmother had that sugery a few years ago (at the age of 83) and she's till kicking..err "ticking", that is!

Blessings to you both!!!! Mom had it in 1996 and is still kicking. Duh, you will have good drugs. LR, you may need to ask for some but he will be funny at his first meal. Still groggy and trying to find his mouth to eat the popsicle.

Terry and Loretta, if you need me I will get in my car and head that way. God has been with you guys a very long time and he won't forsake you now. You are in "our" thoughts and prayers. I told the kids what I just read and they are reall upset, they love Terry a lot. We all joined hands and sent up a heart felt prayer. God has you now and He won't let you go my dear friend...He will keep you safe and send you back home to us. Terry, please don't be stubborn listen to the instructions the doctor's give you after the surgery..please.
I have had my body split open after surgery because I decided I was smart and washed clother the day after one of my major ones. Nothing like your insides being on the outside..not a very nice sight. Loretta, I am sending Super glue and duct tape, use hand cuffs but not the magic ones. Keep his butt down so he can heal and MAKE HIM REST!! All my love to all of you, give Zac a big hug, too...he was just recently "kissed by an angel"..
