Anyone who are fans of her, I just wanted to let you know. The cause of death is unknown. She was 48

Damn, she had a beautiful voice.
She followed the wrong path and the world will be deprived of her awesome talent.

Sad .....

The cause of her death is drugs. It's not a secret.

Probably, but I'll wait for the official report. After doing so many drugs it could have been her heart or even a hereditary condition. Who knows for sure yet.
That doesn't change the fact that she had a talent and will be missed by many.

So sad to hear this. She was one of the greatest singers and very, very attractive. Sad that sometimes people lose their way and take forbidden paths in their lives.

Me neither...but I guess she's been a back up for Whitney, Mariah and a few others...and has a couple of albums...listened to some songs thinking I heard her music just didn't recognize the name...nope, didn't ring a bell!

Truly a sad moment in time...she had a beautiful voice and was a nice person. Remember her as she was..before the drugs stole her precious life's strength. She will be missed for she was loved by all.

RIP.....Songbird.

Her last night of life was not a happy one.

Every so often, you hear about a talented singer or star who has died because of drugs and alcohol. I suppose it's all too stressful a profession. It's not easy keeping up with the image that the public has of that person. An announcer stated that Whitney had said the Oprah Winfrey a few years ago, that she had tackled her demons. Apparently those demons came back to haunt her. I think for many of these stars, fame makes them feel at first, that they're invincible, that the world is their oyster, that they can do almost anything. The hectic and unrealistic lifestyle soon becomes too overwhelming for them and the luster of fame becomes too powerful for them. I also believe some of these stars become so narcissistic, they can't bear the idea of losing the spotlight or knowing they're growing older and aging. Most if not all of these famous people had issues long before they died an untimely death from drugs and alcohol. Just look at the list. So sad and disturbing:

Simon Cowell, paying tribute on the radio this morning, said her death compares to that of John Lennon, followed by Elvis, and more recently Michael Jackson. I would add Janis Joplin and
Jimmy Hendrix. One of the GREATS and really so
sad she has died so young.
