Feb 11th 2012 LOS ANGELES (AP)- Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, has died. She was 48. Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unclear. At her peak in the 1980s and '90s, Houston the golden girl of the music industry and one of the world's best-selling artists. Among her hits were "How Will I Know," ''Saving All My Love for You" and "I Will Always Love You." She won multiple Grammys including album and record of the year. One night before the grammys.

Update on Whitney HOuston if anyone is following it. Apparently, before she was to go to a PRE grammy party, she needed to tone down the jiiters so she popped several tranquilizers, and got into the tub. She had several assistants outside her bathroom door, and no one knew to check on her, except her hair dresser and they found her slumped under. Suspected drug use of some kind. Anna Nicole Smith did a bathtub thing as well, and NOW the Queen will pay anyone 22000.00 to run her the perfect bath and they must be discreet. Rule of thumb. Never but never hire anyone from the HOuson, Brown, or Smith family.

I don't like the wind so I'm staying inside. Have a great day. Poor hoMaria having to sleep on the porch while waiting for someone to go to work. Wonderful to read all of your posts like always. I dont know, but if you ask me, it would be so much better to take all your downers AFTER a soak in the tub. Co workers were upset that the grammy tribute left out Etta James. I actually got caught up in watching Strange Addictions. I never saw anyone French kiss their car before or snort baby powder. I guess some people like to make love in the back seat, and then you have those that make love TO THE BACK SEAT. Go figure.

I was born in Bombay, India and brought up in South Africa. I began to study dance at the age of four. In my early twenties I was dancing at a club in Paris when I was spotted by a talent agent and eventually signed to play a part in the 1960 film, Can-Can. During filming of Can-Can in 1959 I captured the international spotlight. Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev visited the set of the film and after I performed a rather saucy can-can for the Russian leader, he proclaimed my dance "immoral". Little did Khrushchev know that he was a great press agent, because the publicity brought me considerable attention in the United States. I appeared with Sinatra and other notable guests such as Ella Fitzgerald, Peter Lawford, and in 1959,the Frank Sinatra Show. I became engaged to Sinatra in 1962. Soon afterwards, we broke up because I wanted to concentrate on my career. I co-starred in 1960 alongside Elvis Presley in G.I. Blues. During shooting of the film we had a short and intense fling. I later went on to headline successful Las Vegas shows, commanding a very high salary. I won Entertainer of the Year for the Vegas run of Sweet Charity. I later showed off my famous legs in a series of lucrative nationwide commercials for a number of advertisers, including L'eggs hosery. I was the first guest to appear on an episode of The Muppet Show.In the late 1980s, I was mauled by an 80-pound leopard – twice. Once, while filming a scene for Circus of the Stars in 1987 and later that same year rehearsing a promotional stint on The Tonight Show, when the same leopard attacked her. The later attack was more serious, requiring upwards of twenty stitches to reattach my ear. Throughout the mid 1980s and 1990s, I hosted the Championship Ballroom Dance Competition on PBS. in 1994, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In 1995, I went into remission and was well enough to tour with Mickey Rooney in Sugar Babies. The cancer subsequently returned and I died in 1996. WHAT WAS MY NAME??????????
