Biden will speak to full house No tickets remain for Vice President Joe Biden's appearance today at Seneca High School.

But the broadband message that Biden brought Wednesday to about 500 people in the Seneca High School gymnasium would directly benefit rural residents such as Sara and her parents, Jeff and Shelly Ochterski.

Keep in mind that this post is from a conservative political analyst who "honed her skills working on the campaigns of George H.W. Bush, Senator Rick Santorum, Bush2000, Bush-Cheney 2004 and served on the senate staff of U.S. Senator Arlen Specter." If you want an accurate count of how many people attended this event, visit goerie.com and see for yourself. Erie's Brian Sheridan, a journalist working for WJET TV, also filed an objective report, carried live by the Erie station.

Tickets were limited to 500 because of the space. The Wednesday event was announced on Monday, with tickets available at Seneca High School only from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, the day portions of Erie County were declared in a state of emergency after the flood. The Route 8 interchange, which leads from Erie to Seneca High School, was closed for part of Tuesday due to severe flooding.

The entire population of Wattsburg is only 378 people.

It is unfortunate that this inaccurate blog post was picked up by USA Today and other national news outlets.

Topix Republicans strut their ignorance yet again. Biden is Vice-President yesterday, today, and tomorrow and whether local yokels get broadband is something that depends not on him but on our own local yokel's interest in it.

As expected, the availability of Limbaugh and cheap meth is more important to local Republicans.

Let's have a Federal program that makes broadband available to rural districts -- or...these folks could actually buy a satellite card for about $20.
Hmmmmmm.

Yea, those cheap-meth-smoking local yokels sure are ignorant. Thanks for the heads up.

Why? They don't need to go see Biden to see a politican with a foot in their mouth.
