It's sunny and breezy here! Hardly a cloud in the sky, and HOT. If there are going to be storms, it looks like they are going to sneak up quickly, because it's picnic weather at my house.

Then go outside and enjoy it and quit staring at your computer! I'm at work and trying to kill time. The poor bastards that come here don't need a weather report from someone talking about "picnic weather" and how beautiful it is when we can't enjoy it. Geez

The Lord can change the weather at any time He chooses. It may not be bad weather @ your house, but they are just trying to prepare you in case it does.

I'm in Irmo, the winds picking up and there's some wicked looking clouds coming in with the wind. I have a built in barometer, in my knee and when the arthritis starts talking, I look out. I have to do some quick shopping before this thing comes in. I took today off and have some other projects going on. I’m getting my screened in porch and deck renovated and replacing my gutters.

Oh I know, I know...I have BEEN outside for hours, so it isn't like I am glued to my monitor! My grass is cut, the garden weeded, and my hair is blown into a rather interesting style from the wind.

Sorry guys, I wasn't trying to gloat over getting to go outside. I hope it's still nice when you get to go out there too! 8^)

OK, there is the warning so what are you going to do now with that information?
1. Check your surroundings for pets and any objects for removal to avoid flying debris.
2. If you have loved ones alone then call them and review the emergency plans.
3. If you have outdoor activities planned then arrange for a battery radio to be present to monitor weather.
4. If you are working then have a brief conversation with coworker reviewing emergency plans for job duties.
There, now you have prepared for the worst so enjoy the afternoon.

My emergency plan is to get off work. Freak out on the way home at all the terrible drivers that seems to appear at the first sign of inclement weather. The "bear the brunt " of the storm in front of my TV. Let me know when you're done with your checklists.

As a trained and certified first responder/reporter, my checklist was done before I decided to chill out and then share it with others for their FYI. I hoped it helps because "freaking out" does very bad things to you medically.

I noticed that - he is the most powerful man ever born! He can create storms, hurricanes, you name it and it is his fault.

1705.... LOL Nothing, some wind, some clouds off in the distance, nothing but blue sky and sunshine. Went by Applebys and had a 9 oz steak dinner with some Chevis Regal. My idea of the way to spend a day off. Now I'm going to do a little hedge trimming and just chill.

My emergency plan is to tune into the "Double Dopplers". If the screen is black, I know bad weather is on the way.(Which way, I don't know. I just look at the sky and determine how long it will take me to get to the closet with the quilts). Those things only work if the weather is good.

PS: To MacGyvert17:

The weather was beautiful today! Laid out in the sun, had a whiskey "shooter". It was breezy, though. Call in "sick" tomorrow. lol
