Hello ALL, I want to inform you of a community project being held in Atlanta through KickStarter.com called “We The People Create a Self Sustaining Garden”, it is being over seen by Pisces Produce based out of Atlanta. Pisces Produce is a small family operated organization that utilizes aquaponics to grow food, share knowledge, provide a form of income to urban low-income community, assist veterans and empower people to grow their own food.
What is Aquaponics?
Aquaponics is a sustainable food production system that combines aquaculture (raising fish in tanks) and hydroponics (growing plants in water) so that both grow faster. Aquaponics uses less than 5% of the water that traditional farming does.
“We The People” need your help , the project has 27 days left and we want to get exposure to our community about this project that will not only lead people to be more responsible for their own food security, but head toward what we refer to as “food freedom”.
Here at the Pisces Produce we say: "Give the world some fish and the world will eat it in a day, teach the world to fish and we will eat forever." Your help will make our aquaponic dream a reality where food is grown 365 days a year. We believe moments like this can change the face of our food by allowing cities like Atlanta to be home to farmers. A place where food is common, healthy, and fresh.

Because of the lack of water in many parts of the country, food prices will be very high this fall and winter.
