Canal Street survives weather test

And that's welcome news to Carlsbad city officials. After a storm dumped nearly a half-inch of rain on Carlsbad Thursday and Friday, the city's $14 million in drainage improvements appeared to be working as planned, according to officials.

My life partner keeps my "drainage chute" clear and unobstructed on a nightly basis. No problems with clogging there!

I drove thru canal street during the rain,and the drains are higher than the curbs in most spots. Does the city officials not know the laws of physics? We now have mulch in the middle of the road near the court house.
